The post about how Tyler got the nickname "Sunshine", reminds me of many other nicknames through the years. I'll start with a few. The Tempe Tornado (Leland McSpaden), The Shoe (Ron Shuman), Stormin Norman (Bubby Jones) The Wild Child (Jac), Boom, Boom (Larry Cannon) etc.

I've always wondered why Schatz never collected a name. Maybe trying to fit a nickname into his introduction along with " defending series and 7, 8, 9 10 time champion" was just too much for Johnny Gibson.
But now, maybe it's time to introduce you to the guy whose hauling the cargo from Fargo.....
Ford is a truck engine not a sprint car engine. ( im laughing) Maybe the cargo is too heavy.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

If I remember right some people called Donny by the nickname "Tequila" when he was younger.

I think Jack Hewitt gave him that nickname and he (or his family, he was about 17 then...) didn't care for it at all and it never stuck.

He might've been called the Minot Missile for a short while. I have always enjoyed other drivers' nicknames like the Brownsburg Bullet, Hollywood Herrera, Do it Hewitt, Jake the Snake, Luke Warmwater, the Ohio Traveler, Craig Cricket Keel, the Hurricane, the First Lady and Mad Max Dumesny.

My favorites have always been from my youth in the 70's. Black Hills Speedway had Buckin' Horse Olson and Concrete John Slagle.

Although not a sprint car driver but late models and modifieds, Kyle Strickler is called the High Side Tickler, a nickname created by Toby Kruse, promoter of Marshalltown Iowa and part owner of 141 Speedway in Wisconsin.

Donny used to have the "Minot Missle" nickname, but as years past, pretty sure it just turned into Donny "F***ing" Schatz.
"The North Pole Nightmare" Bill Balog
"The Texan" Gary Wright
"The Cajun Sensation/Ragin Cajun" Jason Johnson
"The Big Cat" Brad Sweet
"Blackjack" Brian Brown
"The Law Firm" Parker Price-Miller
"The Madman" Kerry Madsen
"The Crowd Pleaser" Craig Dollansky
They've adopted "Hot Sauce", but I think "The Godfather" Giovanni Scelzi would be a sick nickname; as well as "The Landshark" Logan Schuchart.

North Pole Nighmare is without a doubt the dumbest nickname ever.... I can't imagine anyone besides an announcer calling him that...

"Law Firm" is brilliant...
I have to think "Macho Man" Brady Bacon is a joke too. He seems like an easy going guy

Because his cat has fleas?
If you meant Big Cat, isn't his sponsor Arctic Cat?
