Sad news, hoping for full recovery..His pictures show him as a young man..Sad news for sure..

That is very sad news. Hard to believe as he is young and appeared to be in realitively good shape. Prayers to him and his family and friends.

Just to clarify, it was "Big Sam" (Sam SR) that had the medical issue last night. Glad to see he's listed as stable today. Sam Jr. will not be racing tonight to be with his dad.

Thank you for the clarification. Wasn't much info on the post I saw. Was thinking Sam jr is in his late 20s right?

Not sure exactly how old he is but i would guess definitely older than his late 20s

Sometimes life throws us circumstances that we cannot control. This is one of those times.
Races for this Saturday March 27 are cancelled. I know most will understand and a few will not but you are no more disappointed than we are.
Right now our concern is all for Sam Hafertepe health and getting him back up to speed. He is still in hospital in Austin but is in hopes of getting released today to go home and recuperate.
He and Lisa don’t need the stress and pressure of the track this week. To some it’s just opening the gate but there are lots of other factors involved in opening that require lots of time and worry.
At this time we are still hoping to race April 3. The Bandits Outlaw Sprint Series are scheduled to be here. Check out the event page for details. Informations about this series is also here on our Facebook page in a post published last week.
Until then, please say prayers that Sam gets back to good health real soon.
