How could you not go to the scales ? There is no good reason.

I didn't think it was possible to out do yourself, but this comment may be your dumbest one ever. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, we all know you are a _____________(insert any derogatory name you like, here).

You are the one that made the dumbest comment ever. He is too old and he is proving it with each and every race.
I see some people still can't handle the truth. Lol. But what else is new. I am never surprised at you steelcityguy.......you don't like the truth!!

Steel city so what was your take on him not stopping at the scales ? He didn't want to sit and wait for the field to take there timed laps or ....
Being your using sreel city guy I'm thinking you may be a lernerville guy. Where you there the night sammy went out to qualify and he rammed the back of the push truck. Man is so lucky he is still breathing after that one.

I thought it was odd too. Unless something needed repaired so badly that a few seconds at the scale made a difference. That's the only thing I can figure. As far as Lernerville, no I'm not a western Pa guy, just a Pittsburgh sports fan. I was born and raised two blocks from Port Royal Speedway and I'm in the Philly suburbs now, God help me, lol.
And Winged Strawser, I'm amazed how little you actually know about sprint car racing. I guess that guy who is too old for a 410 made a lot of youngsters look silly last year during Pa Speedweek when he posted podium finishes. But I'm sure you'll have some amazing reason that happened, I'm sure of it.

After you scale they have you sit in the infield and wait to get to the pits with everyone else, we were sitting in turn 4 wondering what he was thinking, hope they get 2 more nights in.

We already went over the Speedweek thing in a previous thread and unfortunately, strawser has the IQ of gerbil shit and is very content with being an intellectual amoeba. Some people actually prefer to remain stupid. He is one of those. Don't waste your time.

I think you can say that Sammy is on the Mt Rushmore of greatest sprint car drivers ever AND that 65 is too old to be driving 410s.

His first two races of 2021: upside down in the C Main at Chili Bowl, and upside down at Arizona Speedway in a winged 410. Maybe time to hang up the helmet. It the "hang it up" bus stops anywhere near Pittsburgh, grab Ben Rothlisberger too!

Senior moment? I started needing reading glasses at 50 & started losing my memory a bit at 60....
I'm a Sammy fan, but maybe he should hang it up....
However, he's doing what he loves... I kept playing basketball with bad knees for years

So weird. The guy finished, what, two or three spots behind Schatz last night?? I guess Schatz outta call it quits too lol. In the right car, I think he can still do well. In a car like the 56, a small team, probably not. Had some top three finishes in Pa Speedweek last year so he showed he still has the ability to run sprint cars. I hope I can crawl out of bed without screaming in agony when I'm 65.

I'm sure he's still way better than average, but after being one of the best, has to be disappointing
If he enjoys it, fine, but its disappointing for his fans too. I keep hoping for a big upset win, but I'm starting to lose hope...

This I agree with 100%. I'm like you, I'm hoping for an upset win somewhere, at some point this year. Highly doubtful it will be with the WoO, maybe All-Stars like a few years ago. Or maybe a big non-sanctioned race somewhere. I still enjoy watching him race, talking to him briefly when I have the chance, and buying his merch. Always been my guy and always will be. Who knows how many more races he has in him this year but I'm going to enjoy every single one, in person or on the ol' interwebs.

I saw Sammy win an Allstar race in upstate NY a few years ago (Kinser's LAST race, kind of ironic) & a 360 ASCS race in Colorado... that wasn't much competition
I can't see him winning a big 410 race any more, either

Not to deter the Sammy bashing, but didnt Logan miss the scales...at a little race in Knoxville and cost himself a really good spot for the main? I know sammy is the only one ever to mess up tho so I'm probably wrong.

With Kyle back in Nascar and Donny struggling with the Ford, it's good Hoseheads has Sammy to keep the threads moving along until Buddy finds a ride.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!
