Buddy and I were talking at lunch and he mentioned there was/maybe still is controversey between Rahmer and the Clemens team? Didnt even realize they were from PA, never seemed to hear much of the PA faithful speak of them.
Anyone know anything?

I understand Scooby Do did not heed this advice and ended up on the buffet at an Oriental restaurant.

It's early, but this is a candidate for dumbest thread of the year.

It's not a secret at all that the split wasn't on great terms. Beyond that, it's no one's damn business. It was 9 years ago and both have moved on and done quite well whether they like each other or not.

I'm not looking for dirt, just history. Did Rahmer drive for Clemens and who is Clemens? Is the Clemens team/ family still in racing?
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

He's talking about CJB Motorsports. They started in 410 racing with Michael Carber #69 in 2006. Then from 2007-2012, the number changed to 51 and Fred Rahmer was the driver. 2013 was when they went to the WoO tour with Paul McMahan followed by David Gravel and Shane Stewart. Their current driver is Brent Marks.

Correct. I was just talking about the primary team. Sammy, Stevie Smith, Brian Leppo & now Paul McMahan have driven 2nd CJB cars. Todd Shaffer & Kasey Kahne even had short stints filling in for Fred Rahmer when he was injured in a bad flip in New York.

They had a dust up, just like many do, he said and then he said deal. The love is gone and the last I heard it was his fault. O wait maybe it was the other guys fault.

There's likely some controversy somewhere if Fred Rahmer is struggling to crack the Top 10 most nights like he was in 2012 in the Clemens/CJB car. So un-Fred-like ........ looked washed up.
Moon even drug-out a Hamilton 77 after the split at the end of the year but that didn't help.
Then a new year, and a new team - of old guys - and one of his best years ever.
Great story, really - zero to hero, then retire.
And, I'm still standing by my theory that the CJB car has everything - except the mojo. David Gravel looked good in it, but David Gravel looks good in just about any car he straps into.
