I like Sammy but that was hilarious

Sammy didn't do anything to Robinson in the race, they interviewed him and he said it was only because he's never passed Sammy before. He has no ill toward Sammy. It was all in fun

I watched his qualifying race and the feature. That car was not happy running up top, I lost count on how many times he was up over the cushion. At times in his feature he just didn't seem to be pushing it. It's on you tube go watch it. I understand wheel speed in relation to traction. If you listen closely, he didn't spin the rear tires hardly at all, but you do have to be right on that edge.

I know this will be a set up for attack but whatever. Giving a specific person the finger is more of an attack on the person than a general reference of skin color spoken to a person of a different skin color with zero negative connotation.
The insult in the picture above is direct, clear, obvious and ill willed. Calling your spotter anything as a joke is less mean but more politically incorrect. Shame that our countries have fallen to the opinions of the masses instead of being governed by good and right.
Bring it on. I wont reply.

Really no reason to show disrespect to probably the the best chili bowl racer when he was in his prime ever. Flo racing is showing all the past races and many of them are classics. I would say the races were much bettter when Tony Stewart was managing track prep.Might be coincidence but the lineups dont appear to be random draw. There are many of the best racers there but also many that are not qualified to compete at that level and the favorites seem to be all on different nights with about 3 top draws per night. A big undertaking to have 6 nights of this type of racing and aso have all of the favorites in the feature. The mega high dollar teams to run for $10K to win is amazing. The prestige of the Golden Driller is what makes it work.I know of one good local racer that got support to run one of the better teams cars was $25K.

He got the nickname Slammin' Sammy based on some announcer remarking how Sammy was slammin' the cushion at Eldora. Now you don't have to wom=nder anymore.

I don't think many people have been lynched because of flipping the bird
Why did you start this discussion? We've been over this TOO MANY times

Maybe he just wanted to show off so he could tell his friends he had flipped off Swindell? I wonder how many people had the guts to flip off Steve Kinser or Jack Hewitt?

Kinda hate to go off-track on a hate Sammy thread, but can anyone say what kind of speeds the cars are going at the Chilli Bowl?

I don't know but that would be an interesting stat to see what their average speeds are. I'm thinking it's probably somewhere between 70 and 80 mph but looks much faster due to the tight confines. The track is quick but not necessarily "outdoor fast" and I think if we saw the same speeds on a wide 3/8 mile they wouldn't be anywhere near as entertaining. When I say "quick but not outdoor fast" I mean that the drivers stand on it and are geared so that they're at hauling ass already as they come out of the corners. The quick comes from the tight quarters and fast response.
Those are just my observations comparing the racing to what I'm used to. Maybe somebody with on hands experience and some more accurate lap times and average speeds can clarify.

What's funny about this is if you chopped his front end off he was at your trailer ready to throw punches. Sammy and other outlaws always new you gotta make your moves fast when the green dropped. Sammy was the best at doing that. Jac, Sammy and Steve. Nobody drove corners as hard as that trio.

11th in his prelim A Main and still the thread at the top of the forum instead of one about Rico or C Bell... I reckon John Christner and the other folks on his car get their money's worth whether he wins or not.

Well, to be fair, it's not my term on admiration nor did I ever say I admired Swindell. I was just helping out strawser who was wondering how he got the nickname.

When most of you anti-Sammy clowns are in your mid 60's you'll likely be afraid to take the family car out let alone run racetracks like a BOSS, like his BOSS 8 cylinder MotorCycle.....I also doubt that any of the Haters have ever spent much time if any with Sammy. I'm telling you he has helluva sense of humor, most of it never comes out because it often includes other drivers. Envy is one of the 7 Deadly Sins and there is always a few hanging around to get their Sammy slap in, which is just entertainment to him.....
