Anybody else take vacation to watch the Tulsa Shootout this week? This has been fun so far. Another reason to love FloRacing. Would be a good time to be someone who manufactures front axles for micro sprints... They're going to be selling a lot of them this week!

Watched everything from heat 10 to 99 today. C Bell and Sunshine are in a different class than everyone else. Looking forward to the next few days.

Not enough name recognition for me to give it my undivided attention but I tuned in at 7pm and watched about an hour last night.  Actually, I ran scales on guitar and had the race on with the sound off.  Every time I looked up at the screen there was either a car flipping or they were cleaning up a wreck.  I didn't see many long green flag runs in the short time I had it on.  To be honest it wasn't very entertaining unless I was into flips and watching young drivers I have never heard of.  There has to be a connection and some familiarity or it doesn't hold my attention.  I don't watch races simply for the sake of watching unknown (to me) drivers turn laps.

99 heat races? You just know some poor driver will have problems in his heat and have to start 14th in the Q main. Smile

99 heat races among 7 different classes. Biggest class is the outlaw winged, I think I saw where there was right around 200 cars entered. Maybe not, non wing outlaw has closer to 280 cars. Wowsers. Has to be close to 850-860 total cars.

I had it on for several hours last night.  The racing was entertaining but I bailed out around 7:30 central.  The track seemed OK but they were having a hard time hooking up on the high side.  Next week should be good but I see that Floracing bails out on the broadcast before the last few Features.  I stream all my channel packages and got last years finale on a channel called Tikilive by subscribing for a month at something like $6.99.  Does anybody know if and where we can do that this year?  If I can't find an affordable way to watch the A Main do I really want to invest all of next week watching preliminary events?  I don't see any sense in being glued to the TV all week and not being able to watch the big show.

Go here live.nkt.tv and subscribe to Mavtv for one month for 6.99 and then cancel the recurring subscription, done.

Really enjoying it!  Can someone help me with understanding the schedule?  When will all the B and A mains take place? I have not found clear schedule anywhere.

It is confusing I'll admit. For what I'm able to understand, there are the alphabet soup main events and then there are what they are calling qualifiers. The alphabet soup features are lead-ups to the qualifiers. Then of course the A mains are the feature events. I've really enjoyed watching this these last three days, but it has been frustrating a little bit to try and find schedules etc. Unless I'm looking in the wrong places, I haven't been able to find any daily schedules / times for the daily Chili Bowl broadcasts either. I even tried to find an updated entry list with no luck. More likely than not this is due to operator error LOL!

That is correct, MAV is carried on one of the satellite services but I have a Roku TV and get my channels through Hulu.  I have had both major satellite services over the years and cut the chord to save money.  Tiki live was the channel some were using to get MAVTV for the Chili Bowl without having to subscribe to a satellite service.  That is what I did last year, got MAVTV for one month then cancelled.

I saw someone mention on here that the Tiki deal changed but I saw the MAVTV logo is still on their website.  I should probably just email them and ask them instead of floating the question around on here.  I though maybe someone else might have got MAV through Tiki and would verify for us.

The shoot out has been fun to watch. Hyper racing has really stepped up his operation. The guy puts a ton of effort into his business and it seems to be paying off. I am surprised by the lack of pa drivers at the shoot out. I thought there would be more.

Stan if you can't get the Tiki deal to work, check nkt.tv... sounds like the same thing as what you're describing. I believe they also have a Roku app.

Thanks.  If they have a Roku app that would work best as my TV is hard wired to ethernet.  I have a Fire Stick that I use when I watch Dirtvision during the summer so either way.  The biggest challenge will be convincing my wife that I need another channel for racing.  Floracing renews next month for the year so I am flirting with the possibility of living in my shed.

Watching these guys is what gets you the name recognition you long for.  Plus there are many heavy hitters running 4 different classes and much side by side racing, slide jobs and last lap passes than most will see in an average year.  The Saturday night portion started at 5 central today and it was a great show.  Tyler Courtney, Christopher Bell, and a slew of others put on a whale of a show.  Regarding next week.  Even if I could only watch 1 or 2 nights i would for sure be tuned in.  A race is a race the way I look at it.

I made a note of my renewal date for Flo, too.  There was a post on here somewhere that said if you cancel a few days before your renewal date they'd offer you a renewal at $120 instead of $150... not sure if it will still work but I plan on trying (I don't renew til April)

I've only been watching the replays, too many college hoops games on

But when the real Chili Bowl starts, I'll be very busy, back & forth....

Mine renews next month and I will probably forget to jump through all those hoops for $30 savings but thanks for the tip.

Also thanks to whoever gave the website alternative for Tiki.  I am not sure if I will go through the hassle of getting another channel for the Features.  I may just watch YouTube hilites and wait for it to get posted for free at a later date.  its Usually a last minute deal, if I get a sinking feeling when Floracing hands of the rest of the night to MAV I will get it.
