There are posts on the NorCal board that say Randy Hannagan won the race tonight and Jason Meyers was the overall points and Cup winner. Congrats to Randy and Jason, both Californians.
Tonight's top four finish was Hannagan, Stephan Allard, Brent Kaeding and Jason Meyers.

team wright-one, obviously you were not at the race. Allard led only through the 31 lap and on a restart Hannagan took the lead and led the rest of 9 laps to get victory. Allard was on Hannagans tail at the end and he spun himself. BK was there along with Hannagan all race. Like the old SJ Speedway days. Great stuff.
It was one of the best races I have seen this year. Myers, Saldana were all over the place passing. Saldana was DQ'd after his heat for not going to the scales or he would have won the overall points. To be fair to Myers, he was unable to start his heat race due to an electrical problem so he only got 3 points for heat race but he did what he had to do in the feature.
Way to go to the Trophy Cup group, 84? cars on hand, great crowd, darn good racing. Way to go California boys!

Where were your cars? Great race once again. Forty laps of a fully inverted field makes for a great race. Saldana made it interesting by not going to scales. Still put on a good show while not driving his own car. Congrats to Hannagan for the win!

i was in pit stands paying too much attention to meyers and saldana and when i looked over at turn 4 at the checkerd to see allard doing his 360 spin i just made the wrong assumption. it happens, ya know. sometimes when you are at the game you don't quite see all the game. at least i got the finish order correct. lol.

Jr's team was moving to another shop and Jason Newton was ill. but the up side is i was there with bruce from campbell motorsports productions and had time to get some video interviews with drivers owners and others. bruce is in the process of doing whatever he does to get it up on his site.

I was at that end of the racetrack and the crew members that came out onto that end of the track should never be allowed in a pit area again. Safety workers are trying to do their jobs and these idiots want to fight with someone, then showing just how much class he has, one of the idiots decided to threaten a safety worker because he told him to get out of there. It was FU this and FU that and I'll kick your ass to. Just real class.
As for the drivers being hurt, Tyler's elbow and upper arm just looked sick. I couldn't believe how quickly it swelled after they got his drivers suit off.

I was listening on my scanner, and according to what I heard, those guys were not crew members at all. They were spectators that had gone through the gate from the stands to the pits (no security at the gate) then went out on the track. In fact, from the way it sounded, there wasn't any security at all. The fire and safety crew had to try to track them down so they could throw them out.

FordFan - The gate from the stands to the pits is just before turn 1 (there is security there, they checked me every time I went through) and then you have to go up the banking and in through the fence on turn 1. Run diagonally down to turn 3. All about just over a 1/4 mile depending on where in the stands you started from. I doubt very seriousely it was spectators.
There is however a pit side grandstand for crew and they may have entered the track from there. However, since I was in turn 2 I think I would have noticed people running from turn 1 to turn 3. One person doing that at the spring WOO race there was very noticable let alone 2 or three. Most likely they rode a quad to the entrance in the middle of the back staight and entered from there.

I was in turn 2 also and didn't notice anyone coming on the track and there was two different people at the gate between the pit grand stands and the regular stands Saturday night
I got caught up after a heat race in the pits and had to wait to get back into the infield

I was in turn 4 and seen 4 guys walking throught the infield headed to the wreck. Once they were there they started a fight with the driver and the fire crew. The fire crew called for security to remove the guys from the track but not sure what happend with them after that.

I did not see anyone run from turn 1 towards turn 3 either, but I wasn’t looking for anyone either. I heard someone on the fire crew put out a call about the 4 guys and how they were slapping Ronnie Day around (his wording). The fire crew member was then asked to describe them. I never did see anyone matching his description of 2 of them, but I did see the other 2 walking towards turn 1 as he was describing them. He even stated, "That’s them walking past the starting line now". I watched them go towards the pit gate, lost them for a moment or two, then they reappeared at the bottom of the grandstands, mingled around for a moment, then disappeared into the crowd. Unless there’s a hole in the fence nobody knows about, they have to have come through the gate from the pits. If you say there was security, then there was security; but, if there was, why weren’t these guys nabbed when they came through the pit gate as they left the track? And why did the fire crew have to go looking for them to throw them out? Don’t misunderstand, I’m not trying to put down track management here. Just stating that it looks like security dropped the ball on this one.

I guess it is possible they went through the hole in the fence in T4 where we shoot from. I just don't get why someone would do that though. They probably went to the main grandstands so they would blend in.
If it is true that some "fans" from the grandstand (or crew) made there way onto the track and started fighting with Ronnie and the Safety Crew while there were injured drivers to tend to, well that is just discpicable. This is not World Cup Soccer in England. If you can not hold your liquer better than to do something like that you need to seek treatment. If you are that pissed about it take care of it in the pits, better yet outside the trackin the wal mart parking lot. Or here is an idea--- SHIT HAPPENS during racing. What may seem like a good idea going into a corner sometimes doesn't work out. No driver goes into the turn with the intent to take the other guy out and cause injury but it does happen. When they pull those moves off the same people that criticize them call them "bad ass driver". Next thing you know they will need security at little dirt tracks just like NASCAR and then good luck getting into the pits even after the races.
Off my rant now.
