Happy Birthday to Hall of Fame driver and car owner Bobby Allen, Monday, December 28th. 2020 was a good year for Shark Racing with drivers Jacob Allen and Logan Schuchart. Have a safe and healthy 2021.

Happy Birthday to scruffy, he is a pretty cool dude. I was just telling my wife last night about the tech secrets that Bob gave people back in the day. He is a kind an sharing person, prolly not many more like him.

In the late 90s I remember us pitting near him at Attica Raceway in OH for Ohio 410 speedweek. The surface of the track was very loose and looked like pea gravel. Scruffy came over and was talking to Steve Smith about the track surface. Scrufy said "I was so loose out there that I hardly could get back in line for that restart". True as it was, we all laughed our asses off.
Happy Birthday to Scruffy !

I'd put scruffy up there with being the ultimate true outlaw of sprint car racing.

A couple years ago after the Huron, SD WoO show my son and I are wandering the pits and Bobby is by their cars just observing the crowd so we walked up and had a good five minute chat. When we left I said, "Ya know, the 1990 Nationals was my first time there in person and it's still my favorite Nationals of all time." Scruffy replied as only Scruffy can, with a big Scruffy grin, "Mine too!" It was great.
