For those of us not all over social media, and not from PA, can you give us the background story of the Barshinger 24 please?

I think he should be on tour somewhere but whatever, at least he's still racing for a living. And doing it in my backyard with a decent ride will be fun to watch. What's JMACs deal for next year? And while we're at it....throw in Kahne as a driver and Matt Highlands as an owner? Anybody got any of the good stuff on these guys?

I think it was way back in the silly season thread when Madsen was losing his ride I mentioned that it would be neat to see him wind up in PA but I didn't know what he would think of it. I'll admit that I had no knowledge of this move.lol. Should make things in PA a bit more interesting. Now I just need to predict or luck out on some lottery numbers.

Michael Barshinger is a long time car owner in Central Pa. He is very loyal to his drivers and stuck with former driver Cory Haas for many years before his four year run with Lucas Wolfe. They had three good years together with many wins and a Pa Speedweek title. 2020 was just a frustrating year for the team. They changed chassis in the middle of the year, from a xXx to a Maxim and bought in famed mechanic Lee Stauffer as the Crew Chief for a bit without any improvement. Mr Barshinger has the means to support the team financially, as he is a long time builder and owns EMBEE & SONS, an home inprovement store in York. Personally I think The Mad Man is a great addition to the racing in Central Pa and I hope things work out for Barshinger, Madsen and Wolfe in 2021.

Thank you. It sounds like a good thing for Pennsylvania. The Maddens are fun to watch.

Which Maddens would that be? John Madden and his line of video games maybe?

You guys are real lucky to have that many top drawer competitors lined up for 2021. When I checked out Kerry Madsen's racing career I found: 25 WoO wins, 6 ASCoC wins, A Kings Royal crown, A Knoxville 410 seasons championship, 23 Knoxville 410 feature wins, a Knoxville 360 Nationals win and a whole lot of wins in Australia. If that qualifies hime to be a mid-pack runner, you must have 8-10 racers that have a good chance of running ahead of him.
To be fair, of the current local PA racers, it looks like DeWease has 17 WoO wins and Dietrich has 5. Schuchart has 23 and Marks 4, but they don't run locally.

Actually Marks did stay in Pa this past year, and not on the WoO tour.

Correct, and I suspect that Marks will run a similar schedule next year as well running primarily in Pa.

Who's gonna drive? What team?
Takes lots more than one car to run a season...
But congratulations to David Schwanger!
