Funny. You are kidding, right ? He's getting advice from Briscoe on open wheel cars. Ah somebody should tell him he has a new teammate that knows more about open wheel racing than anyone in nascrap. If anyone has a chance to win the chilli bowl I think I'd put my chips on Larson. Nascrap wants him there, hey look at us were going back to dirt racing at bristol, publicity that's all this is.

I thought it was oozing with sarcasm

There are a couple of events you can't fake your way through.  Chili Bowl, Kings Royal, and Knoxville Nationals are my top 3.

I think it's pretty cool.  Chase has become a helluva driver in just a few short years.  I like it when other forms of motorsports show the dirt some love.  That can never be a bad thing.

It might not be bad thing, other forms of racing showing the dirt some love but their fans can sure be annoying at a dirt track race. I couldn't tell you how many times I heard he Larson NASCAR fans be told to sit down in the middle of a race, sometimes even having security called on them.

Great that he's racing the Chili Bowl.  Any vegas odds maker that makes him a favorite should be fired on the spot.

You can not expect someone that has never driven a midget or sprint car to be a sensation first night out.  There are all kinds of great midget drivers that can not make A main.  I expect Chase to be in C or D and I have alot of respect for  him as a driver.

You can not expect someone that has never driven a late model to be a sensation first night out either.

The Chili Bowl has over 200 drivers every year that has never won anything.  He championed the biggest motorsports association in the USA this year.  Lets cut him some slack and let him have a little fun on a cold Tulsa Saturday.

Tim McCreadie in what, his first time out running a Midget won the Chili Bowl. Yes I know he came from dirt, but still.

IT will be fun to watch him. Where he ends up when it's all over, does it really matter ? He's  a  racer. He will be in some of the best equipment in the building. He has a uphill battle and as usual everyone will make stupid comments on his performance.  Chase go have fun,  for him that's what the chilli bowl is all about.

Thr Chilli is about some of the best drivers from different divisions getting together and having fun and the team cars such as Kunz team are always tough. The rule book is thin payout average at best and racing is wild.Hard to believe how the Swindells dominated but now there are several on same level.Of the 300+ that enter over 80% are names unheard of.Kinser and Schatz competed and driver size makes a difference Chase Elliott will do fine just guys like Larson Abreau Thorsen Buddy are familiar with the bullring racing and it takes more than talent .Luck doesnt hurt. Even to make the C main is tough.Glad Flo Racing is carrying it. Midget racing on a short track is very exciting and the Golden Drilller is a prestigious trophy.I know it costs a lot to have an indoor race of that magnitude but Emmett has no santioning fees and with the numbers it is probably a promoters dream. When Emmett gives it up Tony willl be next in line.

I wouldnt know what goes on in the grandstands at these race.  I rarely sit in the stands and if I do it's usually the pit stands.  In the pit stands it's different people for every race.  They all get up and go back to work after watching their cars and drivers are constantly coming and going checking out track conditions.  Do they get up and move around that much in the stands?  If I'm not there I'm walking the pits or in the infield taking a few photos and I have been doing that for over twenty years.  Sorry but I can't even relate to what you're talking about.  The only time I sit and watch races is when I'm home watching PPV.  If I sit on bleachers it wipes out my back and neck so I have to be doing something when I go to races.

Anyways, I still think this is a good thing and don't worry about what goes on in the stands.
