If I was in Vegas I'd put money on Briscoe.

Though I never thought it would happen next year, my belief is this happened to get Larson with SHR in 2021.  I'm basing this off of a while back Bowyer said he wanted to race in 2021 and he wanted to finish his career with SHR or something along those lines.  Then you have Stewart saying NASCAR needs to decide what to do with Larson or something like that.  Then you have the announcement that all 4 drivers were returning to SHR for 2021.  So in the coarse of a month or two how does Bowyer decide he no longer wants to race in 2021?  My best guess is NASCAR has finally made up their mind about reinstating Larson and Stewart told Bowyer he was out but he could make it look like his decision.  I have no inside information, it's just speculation.

Reality is money talks. Anyone that thinks Larson is going to turn down multimillions of $$$$$ to stay racing on dirt for a few hundreds of thousands of $$ is living in a world of rainbows and unicorns.

He'll be running the 2021 Daytona 500 and if I were a gambling man I'd wager it will be in a Ford....

If any of it is true. Boyer will be good in the booth, but, who is he replacing ? Gordon ? Larson going to the Stewart camp is what I've said all along and I still say it's with Hass backing. I say the announcement comes out right before the chilli bowl.

This is absolutely horrible. Hopefully he lets a transphobic slur slip at a speaking engagement or accidently discharges a firearm on an airplane or something.

That's all we can hope for at this point.

Story on Jayski says he's likely to be replaced by Chase Briscoe.

Maybe.  But I don't think reinstatement is really in question.  Nascar will keep him "suspended" until an offer from a real big-boy sponsor comes along.  They can keep him on the shelf as long as this takes for good PR.  Maybe deny it the first or second time for some good posturing.  He'll be reinstated shortly after they are told (whether publicly or behind closed doors) there is a team/sponsor willing to take the chance.

I would bet on Briscoe to the 14 & Larson to the 88 at this point. From what has been said, I think Ford is the one really pushing for Briscoe with the season he has had in Xfinity.

Someone pointed out in a video a little interesting tid bit in Larson's essay he put on KLR sunday. A name that he mentioned in the letter as some African American executives one being Kevin Liles (Def Jam) and one of which is Perry Stuckey. Perry Stuck is the Senior VP & Chief Human Resources Officer of Eastman, a company that produces Llumar Window Film which is one of the Primary sponsors of the 88. So we have Larson meeting with Chevy in Phily and meeting with 2 executives & 1 one of which already sponsors the Hendrick car.

I may be living in a world of rainbows and unicorns, but I'm happy there...   I don't think any of us think Larson would turn it down, I just think it's a long shot that it can happen this soon given the current climate.

I thought it was a long shot as well but the more I see come out about it the more I think he will be in the 88 or whatever number they make it next year. A lot of of coincidences happening at certain times. I think if he is talking to individuals who have businesses that are active in the social injustice funding like the individuals he mentioned in the essay it will do a lot of good PR on all fronts. Their are always going to be a percentage of people that will not like the reinstatement/hiring decision no matter when it happens, could be for 2021 or 2041 people will stick up their nose in the air about it. That is with any issue & any group as we almost everyone has said xxxx person shouldn't do xxxx again for what they have said/done. There is no getting around it so no one who is a fan of his, nascar, team owner, sponsor, etc should think otherwise.

I also think some people discount the whole fact that Larson was/is a Nascar fan just because of their own prejudice against Nascar. He grew up a Nascar fan as well and has always said he would like to be their so he is not going there for the money, is going there because he wants to, the money is just a perk. That does not discount the passion that he has for sprint car racing and just because he does go to Nascar or any other form of racing does not mean he is turning he back on or used sprint car racing. Drivers are allowed to like other forms of motorsports. Personally I think he would try any form of racing if given the chance, even AMA Motocross.

At this point if he does go I hope it's to the 14 because Smoke will allow him to run sprints.    The other issue I see here is beyond just sponsors, but does NASCAR want people protesting outside their track?   Does Hendrick or SHR want people protesting outside their shops?   I just think there's more hurdles here that can't be overcome quickly or easily.   I could be wrong of course, and if so then that's fine.   One more year in sprints and then NASCAR in 2022 wouldn't be a bad deal.

I could be flat wrong about this but I'm not sure how many protestors you would see. He's been winning races all summer and nobody cares. Central PA has been witness to most of it and Patriot News couldn't seem to care less.  Also should be balanced by attention to Bubba in the new team.

it is likely all about sponsorship. Who will agree with what I just said and gamble? Almirola would be gone if Smithfield didn't love him for some reason. Interesting to watch F1 documentary on Netflix to see how much sponsors/money factors in even at that level.

There are no protestors because he's not competing in NASCAR.   Noone cares if he's winning races on dirt tracks.   The mainstream media couldn't care less about dirt tracks until they can sensationalize someone getting killed or seriously hurt.
