The
Cadillac Sixteen Prototype Sprint Car Engine
For 2003 Cadillac built a V16 concept car
called, naturally enough, the Cadillac Sixteen. The engine was essentially a
V16 version of a GM LS2, with the development work performed by Katech Inc. in
suburban Detroit.
One of the engines was installed in an SUV with a stretched doghouse which did
some cruising around Detroit.
I believe approximately 2.5 of the engines were built.
GM stylists also did some design work on the engine to recreate the appearance
of the original 1930 Cadillac V16. A very interesting engine, the Sixteen made
over 1000 hp and 1000 lb ft. The car and engine were given some degree of real
consideration for production.

I guess to save money you could send it back to wesmar and only get half of it freshened at a time.

I'm wondering what was the displacement (bet it was more than 410ci) and how did they build two and a half of them - wouldn't that make the last one only a V8?

And I am sure that once this engine is reconfigured to handle the stresses of racing, machined to weigh slightly more than a gnats ass, and simply touched by an engine builder, it will still be cheaper than a 410 right? thank god! Of course I will also have to buy all new cars to accept the size of this engine, but cars are cheap too!

Cadillac and other manufactures think the sprint cars are going to
go to an unlimited engine rule. That's why all the R&D.

GM LS2 X 2 = 728 Cubic Inch Displacement By the way Phil, what do you think about the new PT-AE2000 1080p
Projector?

Cockpit Adjustable? All you need is the wing slider and the variable horsepower
adjuster. (Nitrous Button)

Battle bars? You'll need Safety Railings to keep other cars from getting sucked into those Turbos!
