So, I know it's not my track and the owner can do what he wants...but I'm not fully understanding why Eldora announces a huge 2 day All-Star show that pays $10k and $50k to win on respective nights; and then less than a week later the 4-crown is cancelled...err, "postponed" to 2021. They're blaming the state's restrictive crowd gathering rules, which I understand. What I'm not understanding is the logic why the 4-Crown gets axed but a higher paying race can be held. But again, not my track so owner can do as he likes.

They're only allowed a certain amount of competitors, hence why the the races are capped at 48 drivers.

Seems 100 drivers at the 360 Nats was no issue but 70 drivers for the One and Only was!!! Go figure...

I don't think either number was necessarily the issue. The resulting positive covid tests and apparent spread of covid in the town are likely to blame for Knoxville shutting down for the season. If nobody had left Knoxville sick they would probably still be racing.

The issue with Knoxville was the fans, not the cars in the pits. 360 Nats were not going to be past the allowed max for fans. The 410 Nats were aleady past the allowed max so they had to postpone and schedule a new event with a new max. on ticket sales. I don't know how many times this can be stated. That doesn't mean I'm all in favor of the decision. That doesn't mean one is right and one is wrong. But, it has been stated time and time again the rationale behind the decision. Had nothing to do with # of drivers. Eldora, which is in a different state, seems to have a cap on the amount of drivers allowed. Not related to any decision in Iowa.

But I see that the upcoming 2-day All -Star show is evidently PPV only with no fans allowed!

can't run the 4 crown with only 48 cars/teams allowed in the pits which is why the 2 day all star show works, but not 4 crown this year.
