Embarrassing run by someone that had no business in that car. The young guns that have driven that car have always had good showings.

He’s 64 and a legend. If you can’t appreciate him still racing at this age (and getting top 5s during Pa Speedweek) you obviously are a keyboard commando holding a grudge.

Then I guess we should get kinser, wolfgang, Davis jr. and a few more to ride around. He is a legend I never said he was not, but you can't tell me that one of that cars previous drivers wouldn't have performed better than Sammy. When the track is wet he can flat foot it around with anyone. Along with 95% of the cars and drivers. The track starts to widen out and slick off he goes backwards. Shocks and tires have passed him by, they have for years. The amount of money that was on the line you would have thought a better return was available for a better driver. Look at the indy parts car, #71, the 39 is every bit a quality car that is equal to the 71. How did they do ? Anybody thinks he can still get it done ? Your only kidding yourself.

LMAO!!! You win the STUPID award for the day. Yeah, he's awful. Recently he had two podium finishes during PA Speedweek, against pretty tough competition, which included Larson. And he gets slammed by the 7taz and spins last night, but it's his fault lol. Could you be any dumber, really? And maybe you should look at the last few times Bayston ran that car, mmhmmmm. Not the best of results. They had some success with him early on and probably more with CBell but the old man can still do it. But thanks for the laugh today.
I can't wait for your team to start racing. Be sure to let us know when that happens.

Also he does alot of the setup on the car himself. Don't know of many of the top teams where the driver does any wrenching.

He does a pretty good 1080. Kept it going forward in a straight line. You have to have a well set up car to keep those that clean.

Not than anything on here would ever veer off topic, but the World of Outlaws point leader seems to do an awful lot of his own maintenance and work. Cory Eliason also seems to be pretty involved in all facets of the car he drives as well. Not disputing anything you're saying, I just think it's cool to see some of these other guys actually working on their cars as well.

Outstanding! Just goes to show how wrong the original poster's opinion is.

The young guns don't always have good showings in the Speedlabs 39. Christoper Bell drove that car at the Lawrenceburg WoO show on May 27, 2019. Bell ended up flipping the car. Immediately before Bell flipped, Kyle Larson's right rear made contact with Bell's left front.
The next day Swindell Speedlabs tweeted GoPro footage that clearly showed that the contact with Larson caused the crash.

I guess we will see. I have always liked sammy. I just don't like to see a guy struggle. Danny smith still plugs along, I hope he gets a win this year to keep the streak going. Kinser knew it was time to walk away. I don't think his body could take the pounding anymore. There's many many more that understand when it's time. Me ! I don't want to see Sammy end up in a hard crash. His age, no, walk away sammy.

I don't like seeing him have bad luck either but to think he can't still get it done is silly. This year at PA speedweek's race at Grandview he proved he could still drive the wheels off of a sprint car. He timed fifth or sixth, beat Larson to win his heat and finished 3rd at a very tough little track, Grandview. He beat alot of damn good drivers that night, proving at his age, he can still do it. I still have faith and I'm looking forward to his runs coming up in the Buffalo Wild Wings car and then having him back at Port in the 39 for the Tuscarora 50.

Hey why dont you get your ass in the car. I would LOVE to see a loud mouthed no nothing Youngster like you get his ass handed to him by the GERITOL POPPING Slamming Sammie Swindell showing YOU where exactly the Bear Shit in the woods and shut you up forever.
I just love guys like you, you think you know what your talking about until the shit hits the fan and your put on the spot, and have to prove what you say is correct, then and only then people would see how full of shit you are. My god you can dislike the man all you want, but dont ever ever talk shit about how bad he is as a driver even at his age. You really make yourself look foolish, especially knowing dam well he would eat your lunch if you even had the balls to get in a Sprint Car and race him door to door, Man I would pay a grand to see Sammie Swindell just beat your ass on the track and shut you up for good

KInda like the aging boxer who hangs on too long...
That said, Sammy won the last few times I saw him live, Allstars in Upstate NY (Kinser's LAST race!) & ASCS in Colorado
He's kind of "above average midpack" now.... but lots of us are hoping he can have one last big win... you never know

Have you raced sprint cars?
I didn't see Alum 427 claiming anywhere that he could beat Sammy...
I'm gonna guess that the vaste majority of people here have never raced a sprint car, but we still have a right to our opinions
I'm a Sammy fan, & the first to admit I would NEVER have the balls to race one of those beasts!

Going back to the original post, I have to agree that calling Sammy " someone that had no business in that car" was a cheap shot!

Well, 427 may be one of the people that Sammy cost some money along the way. A lot of race cars have been torn up for no good reason by Sammy, and that may be the source of the cheap shot. Please spare me the "hard racing" argument, I have seen Sammy be impossible to race against at times.

Kinda like Kyle Larson, Aaron Reutzel, Danny Dietrich, Brent Marks or some others out there. You know what they all have in common??? A shit ton of wins in a sprint car.
