ASCS Pays $50,000. Gary Wright won an engine for participating in an additional points race included in the tour. My guess is that is worth an extra $30,000 more or less.

Is that a 100/100 split or is it all to the car owner for the outlaws?

SCRA Championship a few years ago (Ricky Gaunt) -
He was told the championship was worth $10,000 and a custom pedal car.
He got $250 and is still waiting for the car.

IRA
20 teams will share in over $70,000 in cash awards with $10,000 of that going to Champion.
Additionally ALL 20 teams will receive various products from contingency program, including chassis, heads, helmets, wheels, shocks, etc, etc (Actual Product)
IRA paid over $42,000 in tow (travel) money to eligible teams throughout the season.
IRA paid back over $12,500 to eligible teams in RR tire rebates throughout the season.
IRA paid out $6000 in Fast Time money throughout the season
IRA awarded points on 31 race nights, actually completing 30 as 1 was rained out after qualifying. Events were held at 18 different venues within a 4 state region, 2 additional sites had their events rained out prior to signing in. 17 different drivers won IRA A-mains with only 5 scoring multiple wins, Donny Goeden 6, Champion Travis Whitney 5, Mike Reinke 3, Steve Meyer & Wayne Johnson 2.

Of the IRA Feature winners how many came from the 1st or 2nd row?
I know IRA keeps track of passing points who is the top 10 in passing etc.
The IRA format as well as the Outlaw format tend's to reward people for not passing.
Example Qualify 16th
Win the heat from the Front row
Win the dash from the front row
Win the Feature from the front row
= Feature win without passing a car all night long!!
Something is wrong with this picture.
Thanks
Rod

Bill W.
I have been to many IRA races the last few years. Above is basically the World of Outlaws.
Here you go for IRA
Qualify 24th
Start on front row for your heat win the heat
Get the right draw
Start on front row for feature win feature
= A feature winner without passing a single car
Always reading alot about rule cnanges to make for more passing, maybe should read about format changes.
Similar format's different series that contribute to a no passing night. I don't have the right answers just pointing out fact's. Never said anything bad just trying to get some answers. I have the highest amount of respect for EVERY driver.
Just wondering how many of the win's came from the first 2 rows that is all. I seen a post where IRA kept track of how many cars a driver had passed and I think Meyer had passed the most car's and he had the lowest amout of mutiple wins of the above drivers listed.
Thanks
Rod

Quite certain, but that is just a postulated guess, anybody that qualified 24th during the season did not win any A Feature in the IRA.
The 2007 IRA Feature winner was timing in as roughly the 7th fastest of the field. We have a couple of shows were the Qualifications are not used-like the Beaver Dam Duel II show and the 2nd day at Cedar Lake are based on Passing Points from Heats.
So where is that business about poor qualifying winning the Feature coming from? You been hanging out and listening to that Strange Wings fella haven't you?
BTW, 20 of those Features were won by a driver that started in the first couple of rows. So like at 66% or two-thirds of the IRA shows this year, you could pick the winner starting very close to the front even before the green drops. Pretty much like any other series. So that is nothing shocking.
10 May 2008=B-Day, IRA, Knoxville...What am I missing, Oh yeah, anybody know the contact or number for an Escort Service in the region down there?

The driver with the most A-main passing points was Mike Reinke. Donny Goeden ranked 6th in passing points for the A-main won the most features . Travis Whitney (2007 Champion) and Steve Meyer tied for 3rd in A-main passing points and the 2nd place in A-main passing points was Brian Kristan. I guess a driver could qualify 24th and win the feature from the front row because of the draw system we have. I would have to do a bit of research to verify where the winners started for each show. If I have some time after Thanksgiving I will check it out and post it for those folks that "Need to Know".

Thanks everyone.
I don't need to know just simply asking questions.
Yep myself and Strange Wings have beers every night, where the heck does that come from? Did I bash anyone? I guess that is what I should expect from the IRA people I should know better. Kind of Shocking you know. Sometimes I don't think he or she is far off.
Thanks
Rod
