Finally got FloRacing - don't know why I waited so long to do so, love it!
I watched Williams Grove Friday, and Port Royal Sat and tonight. Despite the heat and sun, I thought the track conditions all three nights was great. Great racing throughout. I especially love how these guys run the fence at Port, especially in 1 & 2.
I know you PA guys go at it about track surfaces, but I was impressed with what I saw all three nights. No dust either.
Finally, I loved the points format Port used. Made for some great heat races. What did everyone else think?
Good job PA.....and go Larson!

I only got to see the highlights on YouTube, but it looked like the feature at Port Royal was great. They must have one of the best prep guys out there.

I was impressed with the field of cars. 45 I believe last night at port royal. You had posse, all star and woo drivers. The true outlaw, young money came into town and robbed the bank. 20K for 2 nights. Aaron Reutzel will be a woo champion one day. I think the guy is that good, just has terrible luck. Old man LD can still get er done, I kinda liked on that last yellow he pulled along side Larson just to let him no he was coming. 3 great nights of racing of no complaints from Strawser about track conditions. All is right in the world.

The race was great ! I can't believe Larson can ricochet his way to the front like that while everybody else is seeking a smooth line.
According to pennlive.com, yesterday was the first 100 degree day in Harrisburg in 8 years. It was the highest temp I saw at my home in York County this summer. So that track prep crew had that to deal with.

Reutzel caused his own problems slamming the RR off the wall almost every lap until he finally broke the suspension.
he was lucky he didn't go for a wild ride

Reutzel will have to calm down a bit before he's even close to WoO champion status. His style is exciting but he still drops out of too many races.

Actually, only one guy & his alter ego are obsessed with track prep. Everybody else just asks him to stop....

Nice Denny! I'm from a small town about 30 min from there. I miss the beauty of PA, and Sheetz too!
Haven't been to Port Royal since they've done all the work. It looks really nice.

PA tracks looked good but there sure are some dusty tracks in Ohio. There were a couple of the Speedweek races I was watching on Floracing where you could barely see the cars on the backstretch. If anyone watched the Cedar Lake WoO show that is the closest track by way of comparison where dust wasn't a problem during the broadcasts.
The thing I notice most about PA tracks is they sure do love their flat paper clips with tight turns. I can't think of any tracks shaped like that in my area. Racing is much better than I would expect by just looking at the track configurations so it's not bad, just different than a lot of the rest of the country.

Whoa larsonfan, this is 2020. Way too many positives for one comment.
In all seriousness, I think that points format is great. I didn't watch any live, but watched replays and they were great!

I caught him pull up along side him too. Nice to see him come congratulate him in Victory Lane, too!

Seriously, you are joking about Ports track prep??? Yes I was at WG & Lincoln and say a great track prep. Sunday at Port was horrible! I had about 1/8" dust all over me and my chair and I was on the inside of the track. Got home showered and the bottom of the shower looked like a mud puddle. Didn't look like Saturday was any better. I will go back to Lincoln and WG this weekend to see great high speed racing. No ice rinks for me.

Problem with Port there is no moisture in the track at all. Horrible track conditions both nights. They have turned a clay into asphalt each and every week. Razor Steve needs FIRED!!!!! Great facility - hard black and dry racing surface..... watching grass grow is more exciting than going to that asphalt track.
I love all the excuses...it was hot....I don't do excuses!!!!
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Now you should know they won't fire Steve as he is big buddies with O'neal and I believe on the fair board as well. They think they are doing a fabulous job. Yes fantastic facility but track is wore out and needs tons of new quality clay.

Brian Brown said it best. We don't need 20 second laps around this place. I am going to talk to Steve Oneal. He basically said the track crew at port doesn't have a clue how to prepare that track. Razor Steve and the Port o potty surface is the worst in the east. FIRE Razor Steve. He doesn't have a clue!!!!!
