Man this kid is unbelievable!. I have been following sprint cars racing for 40+ years and I have never seen a kid with so much talent. Wing or non wing he makes it happpen. He picks up a sprint car and drrives it just like Steve Kinser did back in the day. Very smooth at it too. Lets enjoy this time watching him kick ass because this kind of talent comes around maybe once every 20 years or so. Steve, Sammy, and Wolfgang were just like this kid. They could take the wing off and win too! I bet when Larson shows up to race the competition just sighs because they best bring there A game or Larson is gonna whip your ass in the feature. Like Doug Wolfgang says in his book set me up to run 2nd place and I'll take it to winners circle. Just pure driver talent. His statistics are crazy. Lowest finish in last 20 races nothing below 6th place and wins over 50% of the time. I would have loved to take back time and seen him run with the big 3. That would be a promotors dream come true for sure. Best of Luck Kyle!! You da man!

I've only been following sprint cars for 10 yrs. & wonder if anybody else has ever had such a streak with different franchises, & cars?
I recall reading about an incredible season for Wolfgang...

OK, Wolfgang had 52 wins in 1985!
I wonder how many races he entered
Don't think that included any Midget wins (not sure...)

If I could add just a bit in support of what you are saying... If you watched during Pa. speed weeks, you clearly saw how excited and welcoming the fans were.... That excitement had a bit of the "Elvis" factor if you know what I mean... I've seen that a couple times for outsiders in central Pa.... But there names were Weld, Opperman and Wolfgang..... and as hard as it is to believe he clearly is of that level in both talent and fame.... I think you saw the same reaction from the Ohio speed week fans and unless something changes, probably everywhere they go... An old saying... He's a WPA driver.. Worth the Price of Admission.... every fan has that mental list...

Sammy also had 2 wins same day different tracks. He won The Ground Round at Syracuse and then a regular feature at Rolling Wheels that evening. He also won 2 Features at Bloomington IN years ago also. I was lucky to witness all 4 wins!!!

Lason's season is reminding me of Mark Kinser in 1996...

And again, at Port Sunday nite
They need to give him a "Front Row Challenge" & see if he can win from all the way back.....
Its like he has nitrous or something (NOT accusing!)
Do you notice how in the interviews he gives very technical comments on the track, strategy, etc? His mind is totally tuned in...

I've seen Wolfgang and Kinser back in their hey days but when you consider the stacked fields and caliber of cars all through the field he's racing against each and every night, I've never seen anything more impressive. He never makes a mistake.

Enjoy watching this kid while you can as a talent like him only comes along maybe once in a lifetime. Not sure he never makes a mistake but he rarely loses his momentum.
Keep it going ,Kyle

If he ever gets hired back into Nascar I hope he gets busted running a dog fighting ring or soliciting prostitute for our sake.

Sometimes he goes too far over the cushion, but usually (always?) recovers....
