I didn't look look much into the format or really care about Jackson's format compared to Knoxville, Outlaws, Kings Royal, All Stars, PA, FAST, USAC, ASCS, USCS, BSFU, PMS, etc or whatever. But, I will say that next year I am ordering tickets and going to the Jackson Nationals after last night. Logan, Brad, Sheldon put on a show and that was only a fraction as good as it could have been had the caution not come out on lap 18. Hoping next year I can attend the Jackson Nationals, Kings Royal, and Knoxville Nationals.

That was a great show! The cream rose to the top. Great race!

I searched and found some info on Facebook. Apparently he's sore, but ok. There were some photos of his white helmet that had orange paint on it from whacking the roll cage... lucky dude. It seems like more nonwing racers used to put padding on the bars around the roll cage. I'm not sure why more don't do that now. It may not be the 'be all end all' in some really violent wrecks... but can't hurt.

Judging from the Saturday winner's "fire suit" I'm not sure safety was a top priority for that particular division.

I wasn't paying attention, but a buddy sent a message pointing out the '2 piece' suit. I assume that's what you're talking about? If a driver can't afford the best safety equipment or makes the choice not to spend the money on it, they should make the choice to not race at all, IMO.
