I like the big tracks, but will admit that you'll see more racin in one night at Lincoln than you'll see at the big tracks in a whole season. Rahmer - 13th to first, Monteith - 23rd to second . That's pretty fabulous

That is what happens when add the right amount of H2o to the track surface.  I have been saying that for years!!  See my comments on other threads!!  Lincoln had the track perfect all night long.... from start to finish!!

Dietrich 17th to 3rd in that mix.  Thanks Lincoln at one point in the feature I said the top 6 or 7 were all within stricking distance of the lead.  What a great feature!!

Let's go Sprint Car Racing!

Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

I won't argue that Port is too dry by times, but you guys who say things with no research are real hoot. Of the seven races that I found results of on Lincoln's website 4 were won from the front row, 2 from the second row then there was last night and act like that happens every week.

After 40+ years going weekly to Port Royal, I am glad I now call Lincoln home.  Fantastic race, super track prep last night.

One thing to remember about front row winners so far at Lincoln, They were not all handicap shows.  Bring back handicap shows weekly and you will see racing like last night.  Why do you think the 69K avoids handicap shows?  So they can time trial and start up front.

We thank you and your alter ego Strawberry Strawser for staying at Lincoln.  Man, if there only was passing at Port last night like at that other track. Oh wait, Wagner 20th to 5th, Macri 7th to 1st, Cisney who lead a bunch 6th to 2nd. In the 305s, 2nd & 3rd started 10th & 11th.  Not to mention Dodson, 18th to 6th.  And the race for the win in the 358s was fantastic with the winner Hammaker coming from 8th, getting the win on the last lap.  Man, I hate those no passing tracks, lol.  You two should quit while you are ahead.  Not only have multiple drivers and team members told Strawser off on Twitter but now they do it on the mic.   I guess we know who the real loser is, it's the boys who watch on the ol' interweb but go nowhere. And yet they profess how knowledgable they are about track prep.  I saw more two and three wide last night at Port than I've seen anywhere in a long time.  Enjoy Linky boys, let the big track racing and talk to the men. Thanks for playing.

We had two 410 sprint car tracks racing on the same night within a couple hours drive from one another. Both had around 30 cars and both had guys come from deep in the field to finish toward the front & both had great racing for the lead. Maybe I was raised a little different but that's something I think we should celebrate and appreciate instead of arguing about which one is better. We're extremely fortunate to have such "problems".

Don't tell me where I go and what I do!  I watch NO racing on the web, only the highlights.  I will guarantee you, I have been to more races in person at Port Royal than you have ever thought about.  Great for the passers who love slip and slide race tracks.  I DON'T.

I guess all of Hoseheads forum members should reward you and your alter ego with the Dirt Track Racing conisuer award. You 2 bitch gripe and complain about Port so much and the track prep there that maybe you should write a book on HOW TO PREP A DIRT TRACK FOR PERFECT RACING CONDITIONS.  I bet it would be a Best Seller within 1 hoour of being published.  You 2 can educate the world on Dirt Track Prep.  The way you guys talk there is no one better in the world on the expert track prep that you claim to know.

I just want to say THANK YOU for all the Bitching you do about Port Royal, because that track will never have to pay to advertise about racing because you guys do it soo much on here and the best part is ITS FREE and every person can find out about how it is there.  Again Thank You Keep Up The Good Work

Ummm, possible but I doubt it.  I was born a block from the track and was at the track as a baby since my dad started racing at Port in the 60's.  Sooo, there's that. But thanks for chiming in Strawser 2.0

Oh, did I mention that my uncle Bob was the long time flagman at Port.  Ya see, I have lots of ties to the track soooooo.

Your uncle I'd assume was Bob Hockenberry? He got a little too up close and personal with Van May at the 1985 Tuscarora 50. It's a miracle that he survived that ordeal.

You are correct sir.  He was my mom's brother.  Yeah when that happened I was sitting with my family right across from him in the old grandstand.  We lost our minds because we had no idea where he was after it immediately happened.  That was scary for so many people that night.

totally agree.  macri and wagner had a good battle last sunday night at port royal.  the track improvements are awesome.  it's nice to pull my kids down the tunnel in their wagon without having to lift things down the stairs.  last night's feature at lincoln was hopefully a preview for what we'll see during speedweeks.  i really appreciate them opening up more of the infield for those of us who do want to socially distance.

great to be back.  hopefully the grove puts on some good shows too.

Hard to tell but I wasn't trying to start a Lincoln v. Port pi$$ing contest. Apples v. Oranges.
if I had to chose, I'd go to Port. But that doesn't mean Lincoln isn't fabulous. And, if I could only pick one night, I'd pick Friday at the Grove. You'll definitely see more passing at Lincoln than Williams Grove but you won't see the horsepower and speed.

I was there that night.  I remember picking up beer cans in the infield for the helicopter to land to take Van to the hospital.

That was on of the worst crashes I have ever seen.  That fire was very scary!

The only difference is Port NEVER gets there track prep right unless it rains on raceday!  Great facility doesn't equal good track prep.  They have proven that time and time again with Razor Steve, he needs FIRED!!

Trying to compare what I watched last night between Port and Lincoln.  That has to be the dumbest coment anyone has ever made.  Lincoln was by far the better of the two races and it is not even close.

The Port - when I was watching it was so boring I was ready to turn it off to watch either the outlaws, Knoxville, Lincoln, or the midgets from there Indiana speedweek.  Lincoln was the best followed by the Outlaws, knoxville, Midgets, then the Port comes in a distant 5 why because they don't have a clue how to prepare a track!
