The on going battle between the two tracks on track prep will never end. The fans at both speedway's are always there. So maybe to all those that show up on a Saturday night they really don't care. Dylan of course liked the conditions. Kid is definitely finding his groove in central pa.

Of course Cisney is going to say that. Home track and that is the kind of track he likes.

I wasn't either so won't get into the track condition tonight discussion. "That's kind of track he he likes." He has how many wins at Lincoln in just few trys and Lincoln is alway wet & tacky. What doesn't make sence about that?

Doug Hammaker said it too. He won the 358 feature which was the best race of the night and was ran after the 410's and 305's.

They all say that when they are standing in victory lane!

When the racers go that slow, it's easy on equipment. Another reason they like it. 19-20 second lap times are does not secure the name speed palace.

Nobody said Lincoln is always tacky....a lot tackier than the slow palace. I said last night Lincoln had the perfect track.
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Some say it at other times. As I said some where else I was not there Sat. night. A funny thing happened today at work. A local latemodel driver who has won at several tracks including Port came in. We often talk racing when he is there. He asked me if I was there Saturday. I said no. He was there as fan this week. Without knowing any of the crap that goes on here he was telling me how good the track was, how good the racing was and that they had changed something in turns one and two that he had wanted changed for a while. He also told how smart of a race Macri ran to win a good battle. I guess I will have to look for the highlights. As of now I only have Strawser's and an experienced driver's opinion. I am not sure which to believe.

Duh... he won at Lincoln the only race I've been to all year, just before the virus

Most Late Model drivers would rather see a paved track, as most of them usually are by the time feature rolls around for them.
An observation after one set of hot-laps tonite. Has the track even been cut into or is it too hard, dang. Not a big sheeps foot fan but have they ever used one to open up the Cement Palace. Having said that I have no clue if the racing will be great or lousy tonite, got my fingers crossed though. Strawberry man, any thoughts, lol?

I am not there or watching from anywhere. Looks like they are running in the 16's in time trials. They only get in the 15's on cool spring or fall nights. Contrary to the belief of some even sprint car drivers complain when it gets into the 15's.

3 Hot Lap Sessions desguised as Heat Races although A-Aron made it interesting. I did find a positive in the 4th heat, I hit the mute button, much better and Larson... Hope the bottom comes in, 30 cars running the top is very uninteresting or entertaining...Agreeing with the strawman is somewhat scary, but he's right again....Stop calling it the Speed Palace on nights like this, it should be known as the Cement Palace as itis....

I'm not sure.. But I think I just heard a guy from Texas say that turns one and two at Port Royal are the most fun in the sport? and a guy from California who's name I forget say it's his new favorite track...... hmmmmmm..

It's great for THEM and it sucks for US, Dash comments are generally fo the crew and track owner, you need to obviously hear a few more to catch the drift....

I'll admit, I'd prefer it to be a LITTLE wetter than it was the past 3 races but one thing very few people don't understand is that the track has a ton of moisture in it. When the sun goes down, that moisture usually works back up through. If you walk the track after the races, you really notice it. Port isn't much fun when it's too wet. It's just hammer down and you won't see much passing but I do like it when it's a little wetter than it was tonight. That said, Larson put on a hell of a show at the end. It wasn't the best race I've ever seen there but it wasn't the worst. They can't all be great. One thing I definitely have noticed is that the bottom groove isn't as usable as it was a couple years ago. It's pretty much buzz the top and if you want to pass, it's slider or bust. I do prefer more side by side racing as opposed to sliding up the track and trying to pin someone against the tin and force them to lift. You're seeing a lot more of that shit the past 3 or so years. I personally think the banking and the reconfiguration has a lot to do with it but it could be as simple as not packing the bottom in as tight and/or a little more water on that part of the track.

Well put Mr. Fix-it; I saw 3 0r 4 very good races this year at Port a while back, lately slick to the fence, drivers like, fans hate. Not much worse than single file racing in this oldtimer's opinion, one groove is not for me....
