Placerville (CA) Speedway finally got to open their track for the first time this season. No spectators for the 55th season opener for the red clay quarter mile in northern Cal's Gold Country.
Forty-five of the best in the region's 360 class and multi time champ, Andy Forsberg, showed them once again why he is rapidly closing in on the 200 win mark by winning his heat and the main. The dash was the only thing he didn't dominate last night. They had enough 360 cars to warrant an 11 car C Main.
The area is starved for racing and none of the area's tracks have yet been allowed to have spectators or I'm sure P'Ville would have been overflowing with bodies. It is one of NorCal's most loyal and rabid fan bases with many people that haven't missed a show there in decades.
BCRA also brought about 20 of their Midget Lites and Dakota Albring(sp) was the big winner. A dozen LImited Late Models had Ray Trimble at the top and the 14 Pure Stocks called John Ewing the winner. Hope things get back to normal soon.
