Wonder how Ricky is doing health wise? Wonder if there's ever a chance he will be back on the road with the team? Would be a hell of a battle between the 15 and 49 if he did.......

Sounds like he's doing pretty good. He recently did a podcast with Sprint Car Unlimited and stated he's already back out on the road as Tony's crew chief. Cheers to Tricky Ricky

My understanding is that Ricky and Donny simply spent too many years together and no longer want to work with each other. You may see Ricky helping out with the Ford program but I doubt they will do much traveling together.

I couldnt imagine not liking a guy who puts me in victory lane every 3rd night.
Even though I may not know you, I

Ricky is out on the road. He is Tony's crew chief.

There's a lot of talk about Warner having a lot to do with Schatz's success over the years and he definitely did. And yes Schatz isn't as dominant without him but if he had that much to do with it, you'd think Stewart would be doing much better with Warner.

Do you realize how old TS is now ? DS has and always will be full of himself. Before Ricky he was a struggling racer, sure he may get a few but his title winning days are over. RW is back out doing what he loves, he beat back his health issues and is out there having fun in a not as serious playing field. He was instrumental in the development of the new ford. I would say if the 15 teams crew chief had a question or two he would welcome his advice with open arms.

Wonder if that will change with Scuba out due to some sort of physical emergency?

Not sure if RW wants to do that grind anymore ? I'm sure it will be his choice.

From SprintCarUnlimited June 19,2020.
A week ago, Donny Schatz was without crew chief Steve “Scuba” Swenson when the World of Outlaws visited Knoxville Raceway. Ricky Warner was in the pit area and will be again this week when the series heads to Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind. Swenson will also be back, which will make the two-day show look like a flashback to year’s past. It’s not permanent, however, as the team is working on a couple of things for both Schatz and team owner Tony Stewart. Stay tuned.
