32 drivers in the 410 class for a weekly points race. More than the All Stars had tonight isnt it, and just a few less than the WoO. And win $4000 compared to towing around a house, a shop and a race car to win $6000 with the All Stars. Ive known these facts before but just put them together tonight, lol. The fine details may be off but Knoxville is impressive.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

It's definitely a nice field but I don't know about impressive. Lincoln here in PA had 35 410's last night for a weekly points race. And I'm sure Port Royal re-opening next weekend with a two day show will have nice car counts too.

Is it too early to start the yearly "Brownie will tough to beat in August" talk? Perhaps we can wait until we see what he does next week.

Sammy may have never been a "regular" but he's won more than a couple weekly shows over the years.
The years that he drove the black TMC car he was at Knoxville fairly often.
Also, the WoO used to race at Knoxville a lot. There were years that the WoO raced there 7-8 nights/year without counting the 4 nights of the Nationals. According to Knoxvilles website Sammy has 24 WoO wins at Knoxville not counting Nationals wins. For reference Steve has 28 (excluding Nats), Lasoski and Mark Kinser have 14 each, Wolfgang has 11 and Donny has 10
Anyway you do it, 50 wins in the 410's at Knoxville is very impressive. Congrats to Brian Brown and the whole team!

Nah! Brownie is 95% of the time a one track wonder. The last 4 or 5 outlaw shows he has attended, he hasn't even made the show. Went back to Knoxville for a front row win and then went to 81 speedway tonight and ran mid-pack. Go ahead and start the conversation if you'd like, I'm not buying it any more. Even if he sneaks out with a top 10 next week.

Not disagreeing but he was hard charger at 81 speedway but it was also rubber down. Who would have imagined 81 speedway laying rubber... it does every time sadly. He certainly has a track type and it's the big half miles with Knoxville being his best. To me he is a half mile specialist which yes does equate to high HP and smooth driving.

Well, yeah. But this is the one track he's the one track wonder at.

Except when he came to Selinsgrove and whipped a tough field. Then numerous more top 5s and 10s during Pa Outlaw shows. What about the time he went to Charlotte and won during World Finals week?

Let's get one thing straight, Brian is an ambassador to sprint car racing. What he does with sponsors, schedule, team, etc... is truly amazing. He's very good on large fast tracks.
Selinsgrove... big fast half mile where horsepower and steady hands help (started on the pin), Charlotte is also big and fast with lots of young and first time winners (also started on the pin)

I wouldn't say one track wonder, I would say "one type of track" wonder. It's long been known he can't stomp and steer, that's no secret. Bottom line is, he'll have a chance at big, fast tracks. Carries momentum well and keeps his hands straight. You say going back to Knoxville like it's a slight? Sure, maybe he'd benefit from running a full season with the WoO, but he's going to make far more money running Knoxville most of the year (at 4K per W on regular nights), and picking spots after that. I'm assuming you get sick of him winning all the time at Knoxville, and who doesn't? Maybe you think he needs to step up, but why? All he wants to do is win a Nationals, and he's been oh so close three-four times. Why travel to 90-95 places and exhaust yourself mentally for essentially the same scratch? Seems pretty stupid. Pretty functional business model from the looks of it.

No one said how dry and slow the tack was. All 360 were in 17 plus time trials. The 410 timed at speeds similar to 360 on normal weeks. It was same for every one but track was slow. I would guess 410 were about 19 sec in feature. Yes 50 wins is alot, hell 10 wins is alot. People love to boo Sammy, but he is a good guy and fans should respect him. I know most fans do.

Sounds like you're saying it's ok to stay home and "sit on the porch"

A Ambassador, wow really? For real? I agree with Stroker Race. A one track wonder. All the names above him on all time winner list at Knoxville were Outlaw drivers at one time and were on the road racing and WON BIG RACES!. Can you imagine if Wolfie and Dude stayed at Knoxville how many more wins would be added. At Kville Browns the big fish in a small pond. 2 or 3 years ago they barely had enough cars for a feature. Who has been is competition and he should win he has the best of everything. Could you imagine if he ran with the Outlaws he would be out of provisions 3 races ago. He would be a bottom tier 10 place in points or so. Jason Sides would beat him in points. Sides should be Ambassador more than Brown in my Opinion. How about if Brown ran with the Allstars? He would finish 5th or so in points. Yes he is a OK driver as long as he stays at Kville. He's a head case and once he gets passed he gets frustrated. Watch him in the feature. Yes he qualifies great but when its showtime he gets beat up. Hes a cool dude but man he is average at best. Could you imagine if Reutzel ran Knoxville every week. Brownie would be chasing him every race. Take it easy!

Hosehead's Law: The longer a good conversation carries on with good points being made for/against a topic; the sooner someone will come along a take a point to the extreme and derail the conversation.
Out of provisions three races ago? Finish lower than Sides? Come on.

I disagree. It takes a lot more than an *average* racer to win 50 features at Knoxville, or at any track for that matter.
Something I think we can both agree on, is that Brian Brown has won 50 more features at Knoxville than either you or I have.
