Personally, I am shocked he is not staying with the Outlaws.  140 pts. is a lot, yes.  But, I think we are 6-8 races from where 140 points is "out of it."   (even with the shortened schedule)    Just my opinion though.  I know things would have to go his way and a couple of others would have to have a run of bad nights.  But, it happens.  And, we all know he is capable of a podium every single night.

Also, I'm assuming he's going to be at Knoxville in 10 days?   Not knocking him, just surprised he is not sticking with the outlaws.

Probably going to run some NOSA shows when they get going, hopefully he goes for the points championship, I think he would have a good chance of contending.

I don't believe Larson can become a Platinum member with the Outlaws because he raced (and won) with the All-Stars at East Bay after the Outlaw season had kicked off; and since the Outlaws do not run at East Bay he would have had to get permission from WRG. Of course all of that happened in Florida in February when he was still a Cup Series driver.

Heard this is why his request to become a platinum was turned down by The Outlaws.

This season is too screwed up to stick with one franchise. He's probably playing it by ear.

A full WoO run must taking planning... maybe next year, if he's not reinstated by NASCAR?

Next year you'll find Larson in a TSR ride. So don't be surprised if you see him stick closer to a ASCOC schedule.

Interesting, is TSR firing Schatz or will Tony stop driving the 14 car and put Larson in it?

I'm sure he was, that was meant to be a joke.   I don't think he'll be anywhere in NASCAR any time soon, including SHR.   I'd like to be wrong though...

I agree with you

Anyone who thinks a big sponsor is going to sign him anytime soon, has not been watching the news.............................everyone got their wish...........he's going to be on dirt for a long time.  There will be ZERO big sponsors who will touch him with a ten foot pole with the racial tensions in this country right now.

About 2 weeks ago, I thought he had a slight chance of being back in Nascar (in a competitive ride) sometime next year.  Now, it wouldn't be a stretch to say he may have raced for the last time in a competitive ride on the big stage.

(Please don't turn this into me being a Kyle-hater.  I am a Kyle fan.  I'm just stating what seems very obvious)

100%.

If NASCAR was merit-based, where there was enough money in the sport or it wasn't so expensive that you could pick the best talent, he'd have a good shot at getting back. But talented drivers lose rides all the time to the ride-buying guys or when they can't find sponsorship it goes to the guys who can. And thats without the stain of saying something racist in today's day and age.

I honestly think he should focus on being a DIRT superstar, he can drive anything, get a late model ride. Race all the big dirt races, Sprint CArs and Late Models. Then try to make a move back to NASCAR or other pavement series in a few years when people are in the mood for a comeback.

No one has mentioned the possibility of "Appearance Money"!

Larson could be getting some serious additional money because people know he will draw fans to a race.

That money could come from anyone - a promoter, a track sponsor, or just a generous fan.

At this point in time, do you really think a promoter needs to pay someone to draw fans... especially at half capacity at most places.

TONIGHT JUNE 6! Tony Stewart, Kyle Larson & the All Star Circuit of Champions 'Thunder Through the Plains' Tour Heads to Outlaw Motor Speedway!

The forecast is for DRY and 86 degrees at race time. There were 28 ASCoC teams in the pits last night, and a similar number is expected tonight.

To get a taste of what is to come tonight, here are video highlights of last night's ASCoC feature event at Red Dirt Raceway:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLLJGPeJHDc

Last night's ASCoC feature winner: Aaron Reutzel (on next reply post, as if I paste it here the post crashes)
