Unlike the idiots who said otherwise, guess Shane Stewart wasn't the problem after all.

Nice to see him running well in good equipment. With respect to his days in the #2 who knows what the problem was. I would note that Macedo hasn't had spectacular results in the car either. Hopefully Shane has found a good ride here and can stay at the front.

6th, 5th and 4th In the WoO points was very very good including a kings royal win. Willing to bet that car don't finish 4thI'd it in points any season with the current driver. Oh forgot 2nd in points in the 2 car in 2015. Spectacular enough? Over 20 knoxville nationals A main starts? Those saying he wasn't a good driver are idiots is all I'm saying. I'll be rooting for him to smoke the 2 and 5 every night.

His reputation took a hit when he replaced Gravel in the 5 and didn't have the same level of success. I think before that he was seen as in the tier right below Schatz and Sweet and now he's probably in the tier below Gravel, Schuchart and Reutzel. Still a fine driver but may struggle to get top rides going forward.

When Shane originally signed with Larson Marks, I thought he would be a legitimate title contender. They won at Eldora right out of the gate in their first Outlaws race, a few more in 2014. In 2015 they ran well, won the Kings Royal, finished 2nd in points, ran well at Knoxville. I thought in the next 3 years they would win a Nationals & a title. That didn't happen, which sometimes things don't get with a team. Then the 5 car last year seemed to under perform so I thought maybe just age or peaked already in his career
Watching how Shane, the 5 car, and 2 have performed so far this year i would say Shane can get the job done, and David Gravel can make a car go. Seeing how Brent Marks has struggled outside of the one Pevely race, looks like he would have been better served running his own car again

I think Gravel won despite the 5 car.

100% agree. He is a good driver and I've always pulled for him. However, the fall off from Gravel to Stewart was very evident.
