As informally as possible this little blog is to announce to everyone who knows KCKIM and myself that you are invited to 'our' celebration on May 5th in Kansas City (specifically, Overland Park KS). We are having a little party to celebrate our 9+ years of friendship and the next step which we have talked about for some time and is long overdue. I/We have informed some fellow race goers and friends over the phone and in e-mails but there may be others who might want to partake in the festivitiies and you are most definitely invited, as everyone is welcome! A few friends such as Bud and Keet, Curt Grogan, Scott C., Jules and a few others in the KC area that I/We don't have contact numbers for, are among some of whom we feel guilty not to personally invite, our sincerest apologies.
I hope you can find the time to join us as well as some relatives and friends alike, in the launch of the last and best phase of our lives, for me at least, lol. By clicking on my name you can e-mail me and let me know if you think you can make it as the 5th is swiftly approaching.
In closing I/We cannot say loudly enough, EVERYONE whom we've run across over the years both on here and in person and has shared in the laughs and good times along the way is most certainly invited. Hope to hear from you and see you soon, all the best, Take It Easy....

Hey Mike. Wish I could have been there for the big event 13 years ago but congratulations on your happiness now - and for many years to come.
Carol from Texas - another John Bankston fan.... to jog your memory.

Carole, I will never, ever forget meeting you at my booth at the Chili Bowl back in the day. We not only had the connection of being big Sprint car fans but we both were friends of and big time fans of John Boy Bankston. He was my wife's favorite driver and even though he passed doing what he loved he still is her favorite, not going to change either she says. The best ladies man I ever saw in action at and away from the track. He had more lines than Wal-Mart the day after Welfare checks hit town.....

Your travels have been interesting for sure! Miss the old days in Owosso, and the local tracks. The first sticker we ever put on our car was the black MSPN Photos decal!

Dirtracer 74, wow what a flashback you bring up. That's where I got my start, first with SOD, then to I-96 for a couple of years and then on the road for the next dozen. Thank you sooo much for putting on an MSPN Photos decal, they got redesigned a few times after the original version. I was proud to have had about 190 different drivers wear one over the years, from the big dogs down to my favorites the 'weekly racer'. Send me an email, let me know who you are and I'll get right back to you, thanks again....

You even made it up to Princeton, Minnesota. That is the mark of a true traveler.

Love the photo. Thanks for all of the memories and the laughs.
Kim has good taste in men. You are so right - John Bankston was the ultimate ladies man. He sure "knew how to work the crowd". I still miss him... and his compliments.
It is so great that y'all are still so happy and enjoying life. Other than this Covid19 shit - life is still good. I hope we are able to get the Chili Bowl in.
