Governor Reynolds is lifting restrictions on most Iowa counties. Marion will be on the list to reopen. Heck Ya lets race.

No so fast my friend, sporting events are still allowed to operate at 50% operating capacity.
Edit: Apparently the DM Register didn't fully explain the racetrack situation. Ford97 has better info below.

Hopefully this isn't the case all season. Maybe in a few weeks they'll allow racetracks to open up to fans with social distancing rules in place. Kville is one of the few dirt tracks able to do that. Fingers crossed

Now lets hope the Outlaws can get that Dubuque Speedway date in soon. The pits at the location are very small. However, if there are no fans and they use the field off of turns 3 and 4 as pits they could easily get a large number of cars and crews in. Hopefully this Knoxville date opens up more

Would it be considered strange to walk up and down the side walk by HyVee all night? Just to get the ambience of the dirt track, noise, dust and lights.

The Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA has been cancelled and that's late August. Folks I don't see any racing in Pennsylvania this year at all. The Governor, a one term Governor most likely, I'm sure he thinks that he's doing what's best, but ...

I believe he is already in his 2nd term and the Wolfe had nothing to do with the LLWS as nowhere in the good ole usa will find a crowd of thousands this year unless of course you go to a rally for our fine president!

See, that shows how much I've paid attention to him over the years. No, he didn't force the cancellation but does Wolf's "green" status of a county mean mass gatherings are aloud? The definition of his green status includes: "All Businesses Must Follow CDC and PA Department of Health Guidelines". Clear as mud. I guess public schools fall into mass gatherings so we'll see what happens there. No racing means no school nor high school sports in the Fall, and vise versa I guess.

Not strange at all if you like to hear the roar of sprintcars. I'd do it if I lived close by.

I have a cousin that moved to Knoxville to be closer to the racing. That would have to be the most frustrating thing imaginable right now to sit on your deck and listen knowing you can't go in. I would imagine that some in that situation would work for the track for free right now.

Hopefully your cousin can listen to the radio broadcast from the local station along with the roar of the engines. I know when I can't go to the races and can still hear the souinds from the local tracks I wonder what I am missing.

Makes me think of the Wrigley Rooftops. Maybe he can rent a scissor lift and the Pizza Hut parking lot.

34 raceway in West Burlington says they can race but still no crowd as of today yet. So for them, no races. Now idk if their county is a hot spot county or what but come on it's time. Kim gets it and she's moving forward at a better pace than most. I still won't get my hopes up for Saturday just yet. Maybe another weekend of going to Missouri for more races for this guy who knows. Saw Quincy is going to move all operations to Moberly, MO (RCR) for the foreseeable future. Hope they host a sprint show down there! Man I'm glad I don't live in communist controlled Illinois. Sadly civil disobedience and unrest is coming to oppressive states such as those.
