Won't see dirt track races without fans. They will be canceled.
Nascar on the other hand? They have been providing us racing with no fans for 10+ years. Jokes aside, they could stand to benefit from the TV time with everyone sitting at home the next 2 weeks. Shocked they aren't considering it. Obviously, they would have to work out a deal with the track to share TV revenue as the gate $$ would be gone.

I think the decision on Miami was made for them by the local leaders. Last I saw the Indy Car race in St Pete will probably be closed to fans.
Tracks in California have cancelled some events

The Homestead-Miami race next weekend wasn't actually "postponed." The local mayor stated that Thursday morning, but left it up to NASCAR to run the race without fans. NASCAR stated later in the afternoon that's what they will do, just like they'll do in Atlanta this weekend.
Here's the quote from the article on NBCSports.com:
"Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez issued a statement Thursday morning postponing next weekend’s NASCAR Cup race at Homestead-Miami Speedway with Miami-Dade County under a state of emergency because of the public health threat of COVID-19.
He stated:
'Although we do not have community spread at this time, we want to take the preemptive steps to keep it that way. Therefore, I have decided to suspend the operation of the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair, the Miami Open tennis tournament, the MIA 5K run, and all major events at the American Airlines Arena. The March 22 NASCAR race at the Homestead Miami Speedway is postponed at this time. NASCAR officials will decide whether or not to hold the race without fans.' "
Signature here.

I can see Nascar running races with the TV revenue but dirt tracks rely on the back gate.
I also hope that all the drivers that raced in Australia recently will get tested because all it takes is one basketball player to shut down just about all sports what would one driver or mechanic do to racing?

Purely from a marketing standpoint. I think this is really smart on NASCAR's part. With no other sporting events on TV they might pick up some extra viewers. But there is also lots of options to watch TV, so it might not do anything.
