Lots of Sprint Car Bandits & Texas Sprint Series Updates; Record TSS Field Set for KSP TONIGHT!
Garland, TX (03/07/20) by DarinShort.com. Today may be the last official day of winter, but the 360C.I. Sprint Car Bandits® series and RaceSaver IMCA sanctioned Texas Sprint Series have already sprung forward, as lots of news and updates are ready for release.
If you happened to miss the press releases spanning the past six months announcing the DFW-based 360C.I. Sprint Car Bandits (SCB) series and RaceSaver IMCA Texas Sprint Series (TSS) synergistic alliance, 30 combined series' events are set for the 2020 racing season…and all 30 have been booked on separate dates from each other.
Meaning, race fans in the DFW and surrounding areas do not have to pick or choose one track or another, like in the past, when they want to watch a TSS or SCB series event! The latest schedules are posted at the bottom of this press release.
As previously mentioned, there are no planned changes to either series’ rules or procedures resulting from this new collaboration – as we are focusing on scheduling, advertising and marketing for both series in order provide a larger combined footprint of publicity to attract more fans and consistent racing fields to each racing venue.
And clearly, it’s already working. A record setting car count is ready to participate in tonight’s TSS opener – 42 sprint car teams are pre-entered for the Tony Hernandez Memorial at Kennedale Speedway Park. Click www.raceKSP.com for details on tonight’s huge event. Race teams must understand and adhere to the series rules posted at www.raceTSS.com prior to arriving at the track. Teams with any rules questions should direct them through the contact page info at raceTSS.com. Dry skies with race time temps in the 60's are forecast.
At the www.SprintCarBandits.com series site, race teams can view updated rules for the upcoming season. All teams must read, acknowledge and adhere to those rules. There are some new procedural rules which are very important that all teams need to be aware of, especially regarding event attendance, so you are urged to read the 2020 rules in their entirety. Teams with questions can use the contact information within the rules to get any answers or clarifications they may need.
For the 5th straight season (since series launch) there are no significant changes to the SCB core rules for the cars regarding tire, engine and wing angle rules – which helps take the advantage of big budget teams out of the equation. The proof is in the results, as in the past 31 SCB events there have been 19 different feature winners.
