It seems like Johnny Gibson says "fast pass dash" about 50 times every night.

And the winners consistently raced from their 12th place starting position.

"This is the year a Knoxville regular is actually going to win the Nationals." and "The Outlaws better bring their A game come August with the way Brown is running right now."
|
"Come on Brownie!"
This just before he jumps the cushion in turn two like he does a couple of times at each Nationals.

Heard one on the radio this morning driving to work. Here this from all track announcers or podcasters around the tme of a big event whether its Ohio Sprint Speedweek, Kings Royal, Knoxville Nationals, half way through Outlaws Season, Summer Nationals at the Grove, or around end of the season.
"Can you believe we are just 2-3wks away from the start of the insert title here." I always think to myself well, in the time I have been on this earth, the calendar and the amount of days hasn't changed, nore the amount of time in those days, so if the day is in fact say July 1st, I guess I can believe that in 17 days it will be July 18th and that will be whatever race is scheduled on that day.

gotta stay consistant with my most recent rants - "wired the field"
Though the responses to my last thread/rant on that topic did change my perspective on it a bit

I thought I'd start a fun thread......Well, it's fun in my mind. What sayings have you heard while at the dirt track that if you had a dollar for every time you heard it, you'd be a rich man.
I'll start.
When the Outlaws come around for the four wide salute, inevitably some guy in the stands near me says,
"They ought'a start 'em four wide."

sprint cars are packing track under yellow when a adult nerd next to me saysIS THAT ALL THE FASTER THEY GO?
aT ANOTHER RACE A ADULT NERD SAID AFTER FIRST LAP OF RACE gee there were not any wrecks

Announcers yelling 'Sliiiiiiide Joooooob' every time a pass is made, whether it is or not.
Also, '3 wide!!!!' even if it's just 3 cars in the same corner.

How about all the posse talk or debates? It seems to go both ways, both seem annoying at times. "The posse wins". "(insert PA driver) started up front and nobody could pass". "Posse drivers have won (insert number) out of (insert number) races". "Lets see them go to Knoxville and see how good they are". "Posse drivers won't get off the porch". It seems to be the same debate and same counter debate every year on this board. Just so everyone knows, I'm form the midwest and have never been to PA. I also don't dislike any drivers from PA. I just get sick of hearing about people's love or hate for them.

Side thought. Wasnt the whole posse vs outlaw thing originally started just to sell tickets? I think it is good marketing but I also get tired of fans telling drivers where they should race and how far they should travel. Just cause some driver is from PA doesnt mean they are obligated to strive to become a national team. Some might just like doing it locally and being home every night. That's fine with me.

Announcer: "Ok folks we're gonna take a brief intermission for some track maintenance...."
Crowd: "Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..."

The announcer who says, "The track is starting to come in!" when it is obvious the track will be a POS.
