I went. Mark allowed the drivers alot of input on what rules they wanted. I'll probably forget somethings, but I'll try to summarize. I don't think there were a lot of rule CHANGES, mostly just clarifications of some vague rules. Aluminum bodies will be allowed, but are not required. Tail piece is allowed, but not required. 2 inch carb spacer rule (including gaskets), Any cast iron intake, (the old rule said "no high-rises", but thats being omitted because its too vague). Intake may be ported and polished, but heads may NOT be. Scat cranks will be allowed, but there will be a crank weight rule. (42lbs. was mentioned, but Mark said he'd have to do some research). Trunk area may be cut out, but there must be a full front firewall, and a full floor pan, area between driver and trunk area must be closed (not sure if it has to be the actual rear firewall). Any "shaft type" control arms. Wheelbase no shorter than 108. Area beside driver may be boxed in. We took out the part of the shock rule that said "must be in stock location", because weight jacks are allowed and you have to move the shocks to use the weight jacks. There was DEFINATELY more, but thats most of what I remember, (I didn't take notes). I'm sure Mark will have the rules posted on the website ASAP. Oh yeah, probably the most important thing, In car radios WILL BE REQUIRED, no exceptions. (not the AM/FM type) .

C'mon, Perry, Danny and Brian, I know you guys were paying LOTS of attention, help me out.

That about sums it up except for no 180's side dups are allowed through the fender. Everthing else, much the same, I'm sure that Mark will Post updated rules soon.

So why not change the name from 'Factory Stock' to something else. Any shaft type upper A frame, Shocks not in stock location, wight jackers. Why not allow a top link and panhard bars and call em pro stocks. Those rules just add to the problem of this class, wich is getting out of hand, and has been that way for a while. Not tyring to knock Brill or anything, but the class needs to be kicked back a few steps.

That Sims mod deal looks better and better every day over a 'factory' stock
