Derrick Grigsby of Marshall, Texas will be seeking his second Modified win (if not his third by then!) with his Kraft Kar Chassis at this event after winning $1500 Saturday at the Red River Shootout at Paris Motor Speedway. New Fort Smith (or Pocalo, OK) resident Okie William Gould was second and another very young Okie from Broken Bow -- Gary Scott Christian (like 14 years old!) -- was fourth!
I suspect Derrick will be among those looking for a $4000 victory this Saturday night, November 17th at the first ever Acadiana Modified Nationals at Thunder Valley Speedway in Glenmora, Louisiana. It's Louisiana's last race for 2007 and we're expecting a large field of Texans for it while several Louisiana teams have the Turkey Nationals circled for the 24th.

For those of you who were fans of the old winged modified/super modified classes, it appears like some of today's Texas Winged Modified Association cars from around the Waco area are going to come and race with the Ark-La-Tex Winged Modifieds at this one.
Should be fun!

Don't change any plans yet based on that forecast (except, get out the longjohns and the insulated coveralls! ). The forecast calls for rain but they've missed it before. Going to wait until we wake up Saturday and see what it's like then, OK???

 Oops!
Bonehead here, let his domain name expire. (at www.hooksrpm.com) I just renewed it but it will take 24 to 48 hours for it to return to normal so none of the poster/flyers will return to view until it does and the website will be down until it does return to normal. That means it may be out until Sunday sometime! Sorry... Hoping the weather holds off until Sunday too!

2007 Turkey Nationals
Saturday Night November 24th.
One night show! Pit Pass $30. Grandstand $15. Kids under 7 free. Gates Open at noon. Racing at 5PM sharp!
Possible $2000 to win Modifieds! $1500 to win with a $500 bonus from Big D & Duncan Inc. to the first Modified with a Dustin Duncan decal. (Decals available at the track at no cost.) $150 to start the A, $75 entry fee.
$1000 to win Ark-La-Tex Winged Modifieds. $125 to start. $50 entry fee.
$1000 to win Southern Outlaw Wing 600cc Mini Sprints. $125 to start. $50 entry fee.
The class with the most cars from the following 4 classes will get an extra $500 added to their A main purse. Distribution TBD at the time. There are NO entry fees in any of these:
Southern Stock/Hot Stock/I-Stock $500 to win!
360 Stock/Hobby Stock/Street Stock $500 to win!
Limited Modifieds/SIMS/IMCA Southern Sport Mods $500 to win!
Factory Stocks/Cruisers/Bombers $300 to win!

Rescheduled! Check changes! 2 classes can't make it and 2 others have been combined so we're down from 7 classes to 4 which should help a bunch with time!
No entry fee in any classes now including Modifieds which are a healthy possible $1500 to win and $100 to start!

80 degrees tomorrow!
That's what they're calling for at Winona, Texas tomorrow afternoon for the annual Turkey Nationals. It's a shame it got delayed this year but you sure can't complain about weather like that on December 8th.
Get out to the track fans & drivers and enjoy the final race of 2008!
