Used to be at Chico most Friday nights when I was stationed at Beale AFB in the mid 90s. I loved it.
I noticed you said the Chico of old. What has changed about it now?

The old chico(mid 80s thru early 90s) would be heavy but raceable. If that makes sense. Almost always two grooves. Even when it went slick it was good racing. There seemed a time that the racing sucked. Thought someone said new surface and it was sandy? It seems like it is getting better of late tho.

1) Eldora
2a) Attica. While its not always perfect, its incredibly consistent and racy.
2b) Kokomo
3) Charlotte / Lawerenceburg / Eldora
4) Fremont
5) Fremont
6) Waynce Co. Love the track and racing there but the parking, concessions, and porta jons are rough.

Yep, Terry Kath was amazing, saw them on their first tour back in '69 or '70 here at the local University Gym in London, Ontario. I had bought their first album, it was a double album and I remember it cost $7 which at the time was very Expensive, but worth every nickel. Question 67 and 68 was their first single release and also on that first album. After Terry passed I never bought another Chicago album and gave up on their pop sound, they were a helluva rock band back in their day with Kath leading them. Ahhh, the memories from back in the day.....

I have not been to the tracks at the bottom of my list in years. Maybe they are better now. Or maybe they are out of business.

2. Petaluma (CA)
3. Perris
4. Platte Valley (Lexington, NE)
5. Cedarville (CA)
6. Twin Cities (North Vernon, IN)
