You guys just dont get it. The drag strips at the grove are engine killers. If you dont have the budget to run a damn good engine there you will just be an also ran thats why the car count has dropped off the past few years. Loss of handicapped shows also killed the car count and the crowds. Hell they are lucky to get 40 cars for 2 divisiojns anymore when they used to get that on a regular Friday night show 410s only. I know things change and I don't like it but thats the way it goes. The grove needs to be a special event only track or it needs to be smaller. I remember when Sharon speedway downsized I wasn't a fan of it but it had to be done. You clowns that want a shorter season just stay inside and hibernate a month or two longer.

Even though you think I'm a clown, I agree with you. The problem with that is, it won't happen. I've been saying for years that they need to shorten Williams Grove up and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Very few teams can afford to run there weekly anymore.

I think you are a clown because you seem to agree with everyone for the sake of friendly debate. I'm not sayin you are a bad guy. Are you a politician by trade.lol Passionate race fans make racing even more interesting.

So am I supposed to be a dick when someone presents a valid point that I only half agree with? I don't see any point in that. I can totally understand why the promoters want to schedule early races. I attend those races and I see the crowds they get especially when they get a nice day. I just wonder if maybe a shorter season would help boost car counts across the board and I think there's a fair chance that it would. I'm not saying I'm right or wrong because I don't own a team and I don't promote races. I just show up to watch so maybe I'm totally wrong and if I am, then so be it. No one is right 100% of the time so I'm not going to present my opinion as if it's fact because it isn't. If I come across like a politician, I apologize because I hate politicians. They're all scum of the earth.

Nobody said to be a dick, did you miss the part where I said "I don't think you are a bad guy" You just like sitting on the top of the fence and you have every right to your opinion. Don't blow a gasket charlie.

I have a couple of thoughts.
1) the season is far too long. March to Late October is pretty ridiculous considering most PA sprint teams are made up of folks doing this as a very expensive hobby.
2) I think the grove is actually on a slight upswing, not either car counts necessarily but the days of them treating the paying customer poorly and providing zero amenities seems to be gone. I think the grind of running Friday and Saturday for a few years really burned them out but they seem to be doing better.
3) if you need to run March to Oct for whatever reason, why not give teams a mid season break so they can do other things or tracks to big races. RAcing the week after the Summet Nats seems especially ridiculous.

I agree on #2. They've made huge improvements in that department.

Look how full the grandstands are at the ice breaker...if I’m a promoter...i run that SOB...

Exactly! I think it's insane to run from late Feb to early Nov also but if the teams and fans are going to support it, then the tracks will surely oblige.
