Leaving tomorrow for my 18th consecutive trip to Knoxville in August. However, this is the first year ever going to the Cappy on Sunday night. I can't find anything online. Is there a pre-entry list? Or, is it just whoever shows up? Who tends to sit out?

Whoever shows up. Typically going to see all the Outlaw cars with the exceptions of Schatz, the Shark cars, Kraig Kinser and Sides. Might be off on one of those but feel like those guys typically don't run. PIttman, Gravel, Stewart, KKR cars all seem to run every year.
This may change with the winner's share now at $7,500. Not sure if that's new or not - I feel like it is. Could attract some additional cars. Big benefit for the teams to get some track time before their qualifying nights.

It’s become one of my favorite events. They average about 65 and about 8-10 Outlaws. They line the top 8 up by the King of the Hill type match races which are always fun. It starts my week in Iowa off the best way possible every year.

Thanks for the info fellas.
Bringing my wife into town tomorrow for the first time. Getting my camper setup, doing a little visit to Pella, take in the race, head back home Monday. Then, will be heading out with the guys on Wednesday. A little bonus racing for me this year at Knoxville!
Can't wait!

Would those teams typically be there watc the races or would they be working on their cars?

Best 1 day show of the year. MOST of the WoO, Allstars, Pennsylvania, California, Knoxville, Austrailia, ASCS, IRA and other racers like Sammy, Tim Shaffer, Tim Kaeding, Scelzi brothers, Dobmeir, Wayne Johnson, Saldana, Madsen, etc. All for $20 ticket + beer + meat/cheese nachos!
Awesome race to honor a former school teacher/football coach that promoted the local race track during the summer! It was always fun to smoke a cigarette with him in the past and chit chat for 5 minutes before he had to take off on his golf cart during the races!
Last years Capitani "A" Featch results.
A main (started), 25 Laps, NT: 1. Brad Sweet (1); 2. Carson Macedo (3); 3. Brian Brown (5); 4. Paul McMahan (4); 5. Shane Stewart (7); 6. Kerry Madsen (20); 7. Greg Hodnett (8); 8. Terry McCarl (6); 9. Chad Kemenah (16); 10. Tim Shaffer (9); 11. Gio Scelzi (14); 12. Kasey Kahne (10); 13. James McFadden (23); 14. Brock Zearfoss (15); 15. Parker Price-Miller (18); 16. Sammy Swindell (21); 17. Josh Baughman (2); 18. Lynton Jeffrey (19); 19. Davey Heskin (12); 20. Aaron Reutzel (22); 21. Sam Hafertepe Jr. (17); 22. Matt Juhl (11); 23. Clint Garner (24); 24. Dave Blaney (13). Lap Leader: Sweet 1-25. Hard-charger: Madsen.
