Well with only 32 cars and one not having a time at least the Outlaws wont have to worry about taking a provisional.

Wonder if those people that said dont worry about the Posse still feel tfat way.

Plus you got Smith and Wolfe still on the sidelines with injuries. Now if there is only 32 cars in October I’d be more concerned

When the All Stars are racing elsewhere, the Grove Outlaw races car counts suffer.

Its ridiculous because tomorrow’s race is actually a better paying show than Lernervilles Silver Cup.

Robbie Kendall no show also. Unusual as he’s been having a pretty good year.

For what it's worth, Jackson has 33 cars tonight for their All Stars race.

After watching each pole sitter win the heat I was pretty sure Schaffer was gonna win the A main when I saw he pulled the 1 out of the NOS can.

But please let's not talk about trains and water in dirt. It's old.

I wouldnt recognize him if he bought me supper but I like his outlaw schedule and his car looks good too.

Wolfe & Smith injured

Kendall was with family, will be there tonight

Buckwalter needs engines, back in action soon

Krimes set to be there tonight after bowing out last minute Friday

Some teams don't feel the need to run for $8k when the big show for $20k is Saturday night. If you are a team with limited resources you save your stuff for the big show, just the way some teams run.  I'm sure you'll see closer to 40 Saturday night.

Those teams you listed have no shot at the 20k.

As for ”not feeling the need to run for 8k”, those teams run regularly for far less.

Dumbest comments ever. So, by your logic, teams that have no shot should not come out.  Well, there should be about 8-10 cars there tonight then. Shame some people think like that.  My father raced sprint cars for 25 years and never had a shot to win.  But like Troy Fraker, he showed up week in and week out.  Some people don't do it for the money. But that's hard for many people to understand.

At first, my buddies and I discussed. and had the same initial concerns with the car count.....But after the feature we all felt we got our monies worth. There were still 4 heats. The beauty about last night was the feature was checked at 10:04pm. It gave fans with young children a chance to visit the pits and others with a long drive home a chance to get home at a decent hour. Tonight they will lose Kyle Reinhardt but pick up a few others.....all good in my book.

32 cars usually makes for a very good show---which it appeared to be.   I guess I am not following.

I continue to go to Beaver Dam WoO show year after year after year.  26-29 cars every year and one of my favorite shows.  People were shocked when they raised the purse to $20,000 to win at BD and only got 28 or 29 cars.  But who else is going to show up that could actually claim the $20,000?  They were all there already.

You yourself stated that some teams don’t feel the need to race for 8k (as if PA runs for that weekly) and would only come out for 20k, again as though that’s what PA teams run for all the time.

The 32 car thing is more the expectation of getting 40 or more for an outlaw show like it used to be. Only a few years back, you’d get 40-45 and some big teams would be taking provisionals.

I think he was referring to teams on limited budgets. If you are only gonna race once a week you are going to pick the biggest purse night which means skip Ftifay for Saturday. If you can race both great but if you cant I know which night I would pick.

Teams in Pa. don't run for $8000 weekly but they do run for that or more often enough that $8000 isn't really anything unusual for them. Throw in the extra compitition and it is even less special. Contrary to what some think most Pa teams don't run on a large budget. Throw in a work day yet, most have to pick their battles. There are always more cars out on Saturdays than Friday at the Grove on normal weeks for those reasons.

I recall reading an article about A J Flick early this season. A J indicated that with the addition of sponsorship from Red Robin, he would be running some of the big shows at Williams Grove. But then I’m old so it could have been a dream?!? Anyone remember hearing this?
