Someone asked that on twitter...and the response was along the lines of "rome wasnt built in a day or 6 months. Ricky, Shaver and some other Ford guy(late model engine builder maybe?) are working tirelessly. When its ready itll hit the track.

Andy Durham from Durham Racing Engines, High Point NC is the Dirt Late Model engine builder involved in the project.

IF that is a ford (could be a LS chevy too) I would guess they shaking it down. Looking at race monitor like they were at best .6 off the pace at best. That might not mean anything if they were just shaking it down. On the other hand it could mean they need to do some more work if they were actually getting after it, only they know on that one though. As I'm sure everyone knows, if you bring a weak motor to the Grove it will usually be apparent which is probably why they brought it here.

Tony also used the Ford engine last weekend with the All Stars. He finished 6th at Plymouth and 18th at I96. Last night at the Grove, he finished 5th in the B main.
They did it.

It isn't the overall performance and/or power with the Ford engine that is the biggest concern. It is the additional weight of the total engine package compared to the their current Shaver Chev that is a disadvantage at this time.

Anyone remember what an OFFY sounded like? It shook the ground when it was in the pits. So I for one am willing to wait also.

Tony was leading the feature last night at Port Royal until he got into a lap car and got a flat tire.
So he was first on race day until he got a flat on race day.
