ROA CHASES USAC/CRA POINT LEAD SATURDAY AT PERRIS – ADDS ELDORA TO SCHEDULE!
(Cypress, CA, June 26, 2019) The busiest traditional sprint car driver in the west, Garden Grove, California’s Brody Roa, will be back in action and trying to retake the USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series point lead this Saturday night, June 29th, at Perris Auto Speedway.
After a rare two weekends in a row out of the cockpit of his #91R sprint car, Roa, 28, heads into Saturday’s race at the famous Riverside County half-mile clay oval second in the USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series championship point standings. However, he comes into the event only 12-points out of the lead.
In the first three races at Perris this year, Roa has one win, a third-place finish and a sixth. The last time the series visited the track situated at the base of the Lake Perris Dam for the annual Salute to Indy in May, he qualified 12th quick, placed second in his heat and recorded the aforementioned sixth in the 30-lap main event.
While he was out of the cockpit of his sprint car the last two weeks, he did manage to squeeze in a go-kart race with the So Cal Oval Karters last weekend. Racing on a twisty road course carved into the infield of Perris Auto Speedway, Roa swept the show, winning both heats and the main event in the Yamaha of America KT100 class.
Due to a conflict in schedules between the USAC/CRA and USAC National Sprint Car Series, Roa was forced to scratch from the two-day event at Iowa’s Knoxville Speedway on July 5th and 6th. However, he has added a date! For the first time in his career, he will be racing at Tony Stewart’s Eldora Speedway in Ohio on July 17th. Two nights later, he will be one state west in Indiana for the opener of the grueling Indiana Sprint Week. That series will see the veteran driver contest eight races on eight different tracks in only 10 nights.
Fans who would like to see Roa in action this week can find Perris Auto Speedway at 18700 Lake Perris Drive in Perris (92571). The Spectator gates will open at 5:00 P.M. and the first race is at 7:00. The track website is http://perrisautospeedway.com/ and the office phone number is (951) 940-0134.
Colorful Brody Roa t-shirts are available now at the track or via mail. If you cannot make it to a race and would like to order one, please use the following link https://www.brodyroa.com/?post_type=product. You can see the design in one of the photos attached to this release.
