I made a joke today that if everyone at Knoxville during the nationals pitched in $10 we could add two entries. Now the idea that there are 18 sprint car owner/drivers that have 200k and the interest to own and run this track is somewhat farfetched, but I have an idea.
Would a co-op work, are there enough sprint car fans willing to put up 100-1000 dollars to keep this place a live, maybe to help out a big money investor with interest. The idea of making this a public owned facility is intriguing. I am probably not the most knowledgeable person on this concept, nor am I probably the right person to spearhead a campaign, but...even a group of people walking around different big race events with a clipboard for pledges could be interesting. There has to be a way this could work to where 1 group isnt over paying.
That is assuming that current ownership doesn’t mind being out of the headlines.
