I have been to most of the tracks here in Ohio and have watched almost all of them dump tons of water on the surface to get it ready. I have even seen races where it has rained in the middle of the event and it is still dusty for the feature. Just the nature of the soil & clay here I guess. I have even heard rumors of some tracks putting some sort of chemical in the water trucks to help with the dust problem but have not been able to confirm if that is fact or not. Experience wise is fine and you really don't notice it because the dust goes up and not into your sight as much. For the camera people and videos it looks a lot more dusty than what it is if you are there. But when the racing ends and the dust comes down you do have a bit of a dirt bath on you. Nothing really to complain about as almost all of the features I have seen have been good to great

Congrats to Logan Wagner and good to see the Zemco team winning races.

Also, I am just posting so that a thread about Logan Wagner actually has more than 3 posts that have to do with actual thread title.

When you watch on TV you don't see the entire race.   The races this year and the past 4-5 years at Port have been better then they been since i started going to the races in the mid-late 80's.  You have to see the entire race not what you see on TV.  I don't go to the races for the track conditions, i go for good racing.  If they are running 15 second laps or 19 second laps, if the racing is close who cares?  Sprint car racing isn't made for TV, you don't get the experiece you get when your at the track.

So let me get this straight. You don't go to the race track anymore to watch the races because of track conditions but still pay to wacth them online? If the racing is so "boring" why are you still buying it?? Sounds like quite the contradiction to me ...

At least he admitted he's a hypocrite. Most hypocrites will never actually admit to it.

If 10 people could predict your response to anything positive about this race track would you promise to unplug your keyboard?

FOREVER!

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

You do realize that the posters on this board are not doing the track prep at Port Royal don't you?  Which begs the question, Why the hell are you beating US up about it?  Go scream at clouds, please!

Obviously the fans and racers don't agree with you. Port is by far the biggest success story in central PA over the last 5 years while most other tracks are struggling. They doin' something right.

I bet he was heartbroken, as we all would be, when you told him that. LMFAO!!!!!! You couldn't be any more clueless Strawser, and finally everyone on here is realizing it.   And Strawser, I sure hope you don't mean Ed, who tragically died in 2010, because that would be embarrassing for you.

No he isn't wrong and neither are you. You simply have an opinion. Your opinion is that Port Royal sucks. That's because the track prep doesn't align with your preferences. You are so arrogant and full of yourself that somehow you think that your opinion is fact. I've never in my life seen anyone who talks so much about something they don't like repeatedly over and over and over again. You have issues.

Guys I think it's time to stop giving him the attention. I don't know how many threads have been hijacked with this Port Royal track prep B.S that strawser keeps bringing up. I know it's aggravating & annoying as hell to read it but it seems no matter how nice, factual, or detailed you put your experience he is going to stick to his own opinion no matter how unfair it is to the rest of us

I doubt his opinion effects anyone's decision to go to the track & I doubt the track cares about his opinion to. Obviously they are doing something right as a majority of people have good things to say about Port & I plan to go when the Outlaws come later this year for the first time ever.

This thread was about Logan Wagner winning 2 features at the same track in 1 night. I think only 4-5 of the replies actually have to do with Logan Wagner winning 2 features at the same track in 1 night. It also seems that every topic about Central PA turns into a track prep/Port Royal discussion.

Good post. ^^^^^.

As for strawser, if you haven't been there in as long as you say, quit basing the place. The fans that keep coming weekly sure do disagree with you.

Logan Wagner- 19th to 5th

Lucas Wolfe- 9th to 1st

Blane Heimbach- 10th to 3rd

Week in and week out the drivers on the podum are constantly congratulating the track on the surface and track prep. The late models features have been knockoputs all year. Great racing! I understand everyone has an opinion. But I;m really not sure what it is that you would want form them. In warm ups, "The Slow Palace' on Saturday was not too far off the track record. This year the track record in the feature has been broken in all divisions except for the 410 division.

Exactly. And not to mention the battle for the lead there for a few laps between Whittal, Flick, Esh and then Wolfe was entertaining as hell.

To be fair, every week the guy behind the mic both this year and in years past is constantly fishing for compliments so it goes without saying that they're going to get them. I've been going to races every weekend since I was too young to remember and you typically don't hear a driver speak negatively about a track in victory lane when asked what they think. That said, it's pretty obvious that most of the drivers like Port whether they race there weekly or not.

You have been there 2 times in 4-5 years.  So if they run 20-25 times a year we are talking you have been there 1-2% of the time.  Just wish it was 0%.  Get a life, go away.

Notice he said he "almost" left both times because of track conditions but almost means he didn't. What kept him there if he's so fed up with Port's track prep? To hear him talk on here, he'd rather piss on a live wire than even walk through the gates at Port to use the restroom yet he always seems to follow along whether it be watching lap times on race monitor, watching on SpeedShift or whatever else. That tells me he's A) a hypocrite and B) he loves bitching about Port Royal so he can't help himself. He has to still follow along from a safe distance looking for anything and everything to bitch about.
