I have drove close to 500 miles in the past 2 weeks for a couple of sets of hot laps at the hallowed grounds in Central Iowa. I can't imagine the frustration and costs the Race Teams and Track has endured trying to get the race season going. I sure hope Mother Nature gives us a break this week end so we can see some Zoom Zoom....

Nobody wins on a late rainout. The concessions are already prepared, the track is prepared,Im not sure on insurance once time trials are started but that can be added, plus the racers some traveling quite a distance are basically out.We happened to be there and thought it might miss.If they cancell early and it misses than people say they could have had them. With the infield paved they can usually get them in unless late precipitation makes surface unraceable.

I too suffer from the, "travel from SW Mexico to Tulare" for two races and both rainouts...1600 miles one way, but, gotta love this chit.  off to dirt cup, skagit being my OLD home track, going back just to check the price of hot dogs that Beitler pushes, lololo

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...
