Regarding the Sprint Car rules edits and reminders for this event, they are very small in nature:
-Mufflers are now optional at this event.
-Tires must be Hoosier Racing Tires on all four corners. After hot laps, you must make your rear tire selection for the night, and your rear tires will be marked, and you must run those two tires through the balance of the event. The LR tire must be a Hoosier 92 and must durometer 35 or higher when we stamp it. The RR tire must durometer 45 or higher (example the Hoosier RaceSaver or ASCS stamped RR). No tire bleeders. (Additional info is posted under the ‘rules’ link on series site.)
-Top wing angle must be set to 20° throughout the night. No hydraulic sliders allowed. Go to the rules page at www.SprintCarBandits.com for a very thorough instructional video if you need assistance setting your wing angle. All drivers must follow all Sprint Car Bandits rules and procedures (posted at the SCB website under ‘rules&rsquo . Reminder to pay close attention to our start/restart rules if you’re not familiar with them.
-Pre-entry to this event concluded yesterday. Drivers that choose not to pre-enter by 5/10/19 will have a $30 registration fee due upon sign in on race night (for all divisions). Thank you to the teams that pre-entered so we can let fans know who to expect at the races tonight.
Monarch has crushed asphalt pits for everyone and can handle big heavy tow rigs, even when grassy areas may be soggy, so there’s no worry about any of that on race day. Feel free to follow along at this NOAA weather graphic for Wichita Falls:
https://forecast.weather.gov/MapClick.php…
Adult tickets on the day of the race are $22 (ages 11-64), while kids (ages 6-11) are $5 and Seniors/Active Military are $15. Pit passes on May 11th are $35.
RACE FANS: Make plans to arrive early at the track to take in the pre-race Sprint Car Bandits “Fierce 15” Fan Fest! It will take place directly next to the main ticket window from 6pm until about 6:45pm. There, you can meet the drivers of the Fierce 15, get selfies, purchase their 2019 t-shirt designs (get them autographed!) and get a good close look at the cars. SCB Fan Fest is an effort to help sprint car racing get back to the good ‘ol days when there was generally more fan interaction with the race teams. Back then it was common for most of the fans to go to the pits after the races to meet with the teams, and now in many cases the races at tracks don’t finish in time to make that feasible. This is an effort to fire back up that interaction by simply flipping the timing element. Pre-race Fan Fest will take place at every SCB series event in 2019.
If you’d like to get your brand new Fierce 15 driver t-shirts prior to Fan Fest, the new online store at www.SprintCarBandits.com is now open. Reminder, that proceeds from Fierce 15 driver apparel benefits each individual driver that is a part of the program, so please show your support by grabbing one when you can...and your support will help drivers better funded throughout the season.
SPRINT RACE TEAMS: all sprint car teams that sign in will draw for heat race starting positions, regardless of their engine C.I. displacement (up to and including 360C.I.) and will receive passing points to determine their straight-up from points feature race starting position. All drivers make sure to read the posted rules at the series website prior to heading to the track, as all posted Sprint Car Bandits rules and procedures are in effect.
Here's the open competition Monarch Midget Championships feature event payback (25 laps): $1,500 – 1,000 – 700 – 500 – 400 – 300 – 275 – 250 – 225 – 200…to start. All midget non-qualifiers or non-starters receive $100. No membership or license fees. There is a $20 draw fee due at sign in. Mufflers, RaceCeivers and Transponders (yellow Westhold) are required.
The Limited Modified Madness feature event is 25 laps, and this division is not sanctioned on 5/11: $1,000 – 600 – 400 – 300 – 225 – 200 – 175 – 150 – 125 – 100…to start. There is a $20 draw fee due at sign in. No membership or license fees. Mufflers, RaceCeivers and Transponders (yellow Westhold) are required. MMS Limited Modified car rules are in effect.
Here’s the purse structure for the SCB vs NCRA championship feature: $2,000 – 1,000 – 600 – 500 – 400 – 390 – 380 – 370 – 360 – 350 – 340 – 330 – 320 – 310 – 300…to 22nd. All non-qualifiers or non-starters will each receive $100. There is no entry fee, no series membership fee and a $20 nightly draw fee. Drivers should go to www.SprintCarBandits.com prior to arrival for complete rules, purse and procedures information. In 2019, SCB vs NCRA Shootout events are not blended rules, they are full SCB rules. NOTE: on this special event (and in all four SCB vs NCRA Shootout events in 2019), starting positions 21 and 22 have been added and are reserved for the top points drivers from the SCB (1) and NCRA (1) that did not qualify for the feature event, they will be added to the starting lineup with full points and full payback. Mufflers (now optional), RaceCeivers and Transponders (yellow Westhold) are required.
This is the first of four SCB vs NCRA Shootout events and carries a special sponsorship package put together by the SCB and NCRA, and provided by www.SmileysRacing.com and Sunoco Race Fuels. The top four points drivers from the four Shootout events will receive $400 - $300 - $200 - $100, respectively, simply for competing in all four Shootout events and amassing the most points. The four Shootout events include Monarch Motor Speedway on May 11th, 81 Speedway on May 25th & 26th and 82 Speedway on September 28th.
The www.KoolTrikes.com Heat Races will pay each sprint heat winner $50 from Randy Butler of Kool Trikes!
This event is also part of the www.SmileysRacing.com 4 Pack Bonus program that awards the SCB Fierce 15 teams with added bonus money, paid out for their support of the Series in increments of each ‘4 Pack’ of SCB events completed throughout the season. More details are posted at the series website.

Sprint Shootout comes to Monarch Motor Speedway in Wichita Falls with high-powered 360C.I. winged Sprint Cars battling on the racy 1/4 mile speed plant, paired with a wild night of racing in the Monarch Midget Championships and Limited Modified Madness!
