Just wanted to send some positive vibes toward our Nor Cal native drivers/teams that are competing at the Oval Nationals starting tonight. Good luck to Robert Ballou, Tim Kaeding, Bud Kaeding, Brad Sweet, Peter Murphy, Damion Gardner, Jason York, Shane Golobic, Michael Trimble and anyone else that I'm missing. I have no doubt that some of these guys will players during the weekend.
To all you heading South have fun and be safe.

I second that.... Hope to see MY hometown hero the "DEMON" finish the year on a high note, it's a huge race on a track that he should know as well as anyone! GO NORCAL!!

Friday update- Bud won his heat race and TK finished 3rd in the same one.
Tim also qualified second fastest so he's sitting pretty good right now.

Great night of racing last night at the PAS! Got to meet Stub & Stubette, Andrew & hung with the usual cast... Yz, Maury, the lumberjachs, Riff Raff & TJ, Cuddles & many more.
Heats were good with TK taking 2nd. after a good battle with Shuman but the real action was behing him with Daryon Clayton snagging the last transfer on the high scary sidde with a beautiful pass!
Ballou & Sammy got together in the C but both managed to transfer but took each other out in the B while running near the back. Ballou said in his interview that sometimes the old guys get in the way! Gaunt took the B with Bud in 3rd.
A was good with early action of Clayton & Shuman slugging it out. Brady Bacon spun Kasey Khane's Mopar out of 3rd early & Sheridan flipped had in turn 4 but was OK. Sweet stopped early as well & left on the hook in the 67K Kunz car. Bud started about tenth & had a great duel with Tony Jones & Damion Gardner. Ricky Stenhouse took a nasty ride down the front shute & flipped all the way to turn 1! Destroyed the car but emeged unhurt. Back to racing & a few more yellows but nobody could touch Clayton until a late restart with 5 to go. Shuman got around him & held him off for a lap before Clayton roared back buy & set sail on the cushion. Kevin Swindell got the Mopar wound up on the cushion as well & made a late charge from about 8th to second & he was gaining on Clayton.... that Rick Long Mopar is strong!
TK said he took it easy as he started in the back & didn't want to take any chances. Bud said he had a tire going down so he was way too tight to run the top as it would dig in & start to bounce & was happy with 8th.
Can't wait for Sat. night & I can vouch for Andrew as he definately fahted as he would say several times!

2nd place finish for TK. Hopefully that puts him up front for tommorow. Should be a good show.
