Farley Speedway Promotions tweeted out today that the track will race under the name of 300 Raceway.   They got the name from two sources,   it is located at highway 20 exit # 300 and 300 feet being a "full pull" in tractor pulling, new sole owner's primary passion.  Roger Simon of Simon trucking and the Simon Sez pulling team apparently bought out his partners in the FSP outfit.

The rumors I heard last year (only rumors from fans and Farley regulars) involved Roger Simon butting heads with the other 2 partners.  Sounds like he wanted to keep it running and the other 2 wanted to shut it down.  Don't know the amount of truth behind that.  However, based on those rumors, if they are true, I think his sole ownership gives it the best chance of remaining open and hosting races for the long term.

Time will tell!!

My how times change......back in the late 90s/early 2000s the prevailing rumor was that Roger Simon wanted to purchase the track property so that he could expand his trucking business.
