Farley, IA was on the schedule when first released------now missing.  Can someone fill me in on this?  I cannot find an announcement that it was cancelled but I dont see on the schedule anymore on the WoO site.

(Not surprised if it is-----------sounds like a @#!& show over there right now)

I was surprised to see Farley on the original schedule, given the tracks issues.

A race was scheduled at Dubuque I believe on the Sunday after Beaver Dam.

Correct, I was VERY surprised to see it on the schedule early.

I'm pumped about the Dubuque date.  Only 50 miles from my house and a very racey track!

Well, that's a bummer! I had about 5 coworkers set to go, who have never been to a sprint car race frown

Farley has been all over the place lately. It was on my tentative schedule to attend this race. Dissappointed as its usually a great race track and would be heavily attended by fans. Cars from Knoxvilles, IRA, and maybe MOWA are all possible along with the standard WoO crew means some excellent car counts as well.

Me too!  I tried to go 20 years ago when it was rained out right when we got there.  Rained out last year.  Don't know why it's off the schedule this year.  ?????

Take them to the Dubuque Fairgrounds Speedway race,   HIgh banked 3/8 mile track should be an awesome show.

I will be at the race in Dubuque for sure, not sure if I'll be able to sell the guys on a Sunday night gig?

Are any of you familiar with the grounds in Dubuque? Is there camping available? Electric?

2 miles away is Hoot Owl Campground.  I've stayed there before.  Very nice place.  I would book ASAP!

There will be camping available at the track.  Contact the Dubuque County Fairgrounds for price and services.

They have pleny of room.  I am not sure were they plan on pitting everyone,  but if they don't use the pave midway it will open up another 50 spots.

I know that a Sunday show is a tough sell,  but good news is that most likely you can be on the road home by 10 pm,  50/50 chance that could be 9 pm.

On a side note, I emailed WRG on the 20th inquiring about Farley being taken off of the schedule and have not heard back.

It would be so "Farley" for them to put the race back on the schedule at the last second-----------then cancel it due to lack of interest.

Saw my first World of Outlaw race at Farley.  I remember Wolfgang missed the show due to an injury. I can't remember now but I'm sure Steve or Sammy won it.

I am sure it was Steve Kinser,  I think he won both of the WoO races ran at Farley in the mid 90s.    Both shows ran under threat of rain IIRC with the first one ending in a downpour as the checkers flew and a muddy mess trying to get everyone loaded up and out.   It was also one of if not the show that Lasoski returned to competition after beating cancer.

Farley Speedway Promotions tweeted out today that the track will race under the name of 300 Raceway.   They got the name from two sources,   it is located at highway 20 exit # 300 and 300 feet being a "full pull" in tractor pulling, new sole owner's primary passion.  Roger Simon of Simon trucking and the Simon Sez pulling team apparently bought out his partners in the FSP outfit.

Interesting. Could you put up a link to that tweet, I clicked on the link that @FSPracing posted and it says not available? Thanks!
