Was looking at the Ascs website and saw a schedule for a national tour. I have looked a little in years past but only found regional ascs schedules. Is this national tour a new thing? And I have not googled every race track name to draw my own map or calculate travel distances but there seems to be a lot of travelling. So whether it's new or not.. how can these guys afford to run across the country to and fro for what I am guessing must be a lot less money than the WoO or AllStars.
I was un aware of any national 360 tour. So let me have it. Correct my wrong assumptions!!!!!!!!
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

It's not new. Team's get $500 tow money in addition to race winnings if they are signed up for the whole tour.

It's almost brand new, it's only been around since 1989...

You got some history to study with the ASCS National tour. 2007-2009 were some fun times.

The other thing about the ASCS National tour is some year the word National has different meanings. It is very similiar to the USAC nation tour question. When 70% of your tour in is 3 states is it truely a national tour?
The other thing that is unique about the National tour is that they will co-sanction a race with one of the regioinal series. So depending on what the promoter wants to do you can have a: regional race, a national race, or a co sanctioned national/regional race.

I think they have some sort of ongoing relationship. RodinCanada tries hard to get under FORD97's skin and FORD97 lets him.

Rod in Canada right now is by far the least honest poster on this board with his ingenuous act. Not cool.

I have/had no history with Ford before he got upset that I asked a question about an old and closed racetrack about a year ago.
I do live in Cansda and my name is Rod. Not sure why anyone thinks that is deceitful or why I have a motive.
I clearly stated I did Google and research the topic beforehand but still had some questions which I thought would be easier to get here than by spending hours on the web.
Perhaps some should just scroll past the Canadian flag if the posts upset you that much.
Have a great day all. And Ford, i see you have a goal but I can guarantee you I won't run from my computer to hide or quit using hosehead to please you. I come here for info on a sport I enjoy and won't let one person affect that. Until you put your name and state in your avatar your comments about me hiding are empty.
Edited to fix a spelling mistake cause I know some really hate edits.

care what most of you think!

Not to worry Rod, you out in the Winnipeg area? As far as Ford goes, he's a total keyboard tough guy, that's it. He supposedly knew me for years from Knoxville where I did many dozens of shows over the years but never one time did he come up and say something, typical pussy. I had a lot of the same issues in PA, told them my schedule, where I was going to be and when, yet I never had one of the bashers ever come up and say a word. The irony is, I look like an older guy with glasses and I was, lol but I fought a ton as a hockey player for 30+ years and loved every second of it. Heck, I was known as Mike Nelligoon more than Mike Nelligan. It's not how many fights you win, it's how many you show up for.....

Mikey, there have been many a keyboard jockey since Alan created his site and this forum back in 1998 (same time tidbits was formed as well by the way). Nice to see the trolls, know it alls and keyboard jockeys are alive and well.
And here I thought they moved up to facebook status but I forget, there you have to expose who you are.
