Well all the speculation is over and congrats to those that were in the know and had it right all along ,just makes me wonder why if these can all work together why cant they finally get Baps into Speedweek?
Wonder if in the future Baps might join at Lincoln as it was always Austin Hogues favorite track .
Just hope we dont lose any cars with the promoters being car owners.
Wonder what this means for Selinsgrove?
Anyone know who is now PR and announcer at Port?

Lincoln just got that much more better. I think we're going to see some awesome things from this group. As far as Port, I only heard that Brouse was gone about a month ago but nothing as far as a replacement. Providing they don't replace him with that annoying pit reporter guy and actually get someone who is a decent announcer, that's the best improvement they made yet. Having an announcer/PR guy who takes jabs at teams/drivers like he did Hodnett at the Night Before the 50 and a few weeks before when he was in Knoxville on a night where Port only had 13 cars was not what one would expect from an otherwise reputable track. Ted Reitz is there every week. I'd LOVE to see him on the mic. He was always one of my favorites when I was a kid.

That's who it is. Hopefully they can talk to him and calm him down. He doesn't have that bad of a voice for it. I'd prefer Ted Reitz myself . I always liked his style.

Tommy Baker was a friend and the best announcer at Port Royal. Ted Reitz always did a super job at Selinsgrove. I would enjoy listening to him again.

I personally wish that when the green flag drops the PA system would be shut off. I am quite capable of watching a race and deciding whether or not it is exciting all by myself.

I love Sprint car racing. But I don't see Baps or Selinsgrove revolutionising the sport. Someone or some group needs to make changes to grow the sport, not bandaids to prevent shrinking.

We can't hear the PA system in the turn 3 area of the infield even when they aren't racing. It sure would be nice to hear line ups and interveiws once in a while.

I’m ok with the PA running while the race is going. Personally I wish they would simulcast it on a low power FM transmitter similar to what they do at Port Royal. That way if you want to listen to the announcer you actually have a chance via over the ear headphones.
