I believe STP before craftsman. Drawing a blank who was before them.

I believe they went awhile without having a title sponsor at all before the STP. I think STP came on board around 2013 or maybe midseason 2012 and was the sponsor through 2014. I think they did not have a title sponsor in 2015 and then Craftsman came on board in 2016.
The last title sponsor that I can think of before STP was Advance Auto Parts around 2007 or 2008 maybe??? Between 2009 and 2012 I remember there being many associate sponsors like Fusion Energy drink, Super Clean, and Armor All (Same company as STP I think) but none of them were the "title" sponsor.

Advance Auto Parts sponsored the 2008 season. Pretty sure it was just a one year deal and they did not return for the 2009 season.

Too much of anything besides water, and sex is bad for you. Go out there and support the sponsor. Just like a beer, having a few will not hurt you.
