He may start his goal by mailing CGR a very large check.

That's the issue unfortunately. He's going to need to find a large sponsorship from someone and he probably needs to get some oval Indy Lights races under his belt before jumping into the full size IndyCar. Clauson got started in the Lights thanks to the USAC Road To Indy Scholarship and then used that scholarship the following year to help fund his Indy 500 ride in 2012 with Sarah Fisher. That doesn't exist anymore unfortunately.
It'd certainly be fun to see him wheel one around at 235 in qualifying trim!

"its a real prestigious event, a lot like the Chili Bowl"
Rico has proven he is a dirt track talent for sure but the Indy 500 has been called for decades, the world's greatest spectacle in motorsports. Outside of North America, how many people have heard of the Chili Bowl other than to say they love a bowl of chili.
Lawlessness + liberalism = HELL - NYC, Detroit, Chicago,
Seattle, LA Who the H runs those cities.

I would love to see Rico get a chance.I would much rather cheer for him than several foreign racers that actually I have never heard of.It would be great for dirt track racing.I dont know the cost of a complete midget to run Chili Bowl but Indy car effort MIGHT? cost more than 1/2 the total field and it is more of a strategy race similar to long NASCAR races where it is important to be around at the end.He has Tony,Kyle, andChip in his corner so who knows! Danica pulled it off so why not Rico as he has a lot of dirt track fans .It is still all about the money, not the most talented ,as there have been many that deserved a shot.A.J.Foyt is another owner that history came from dirt and he is a living legend.

Ashame they don't allow custom built cars anymore. Rico would make short order of 500.
They don't even know how to spell sprint car

Well he certainly won't be able to run the 2019 Indy 500 because the Chili Bowl won't be over before then. JFC they screw around.
