They ran part of one year together. Hunter is a good driver that is gaining experience. Now way to compare the two.

Can't say this is much of a surprise. I'm still confused with their reasoning of deciding to run a schedule last season in which they travelled more and hit the 'bigger shows.' Was it just boredom of racing a local schedule? I think they figured out pretty quickly that it's much more expensive to be out on the road - and there's much less winnings since the competition is greater and you're running at unfamiliar tracks. I think Hunter did just fine considering the circumstances he was in.
To drop the bomb on Dobmeier about 6 weeks before the racing season started was pretty ridiculous. Props to him for putting his foot down and declining the offer that was given. With a family and a business they had to know Mark was going to be unable to be out on the road for an experimental season. Unbelievable he was able to put together his own team, buy a race team, buy a house with a shop, and have it all ready to go by season start.
Unfortunately the fans end up being the losers in this - one less competetive car on the track. Hunter will certainly find a ride, but it's too bad he has to deal with the repercussions of decisions made - not just on the Jimco side, but himself as well since he decided to get involved with a team that appeared to have no long term plan. The whole situation last season is still a puzzler to me....

it is sad that a team folded, as we know there is not a ton of people with the money to get a top notch operation going and be competitve. that being said, i dont think a lot of people will exactly miss seeing the team owner around
